Well I think it's the same story in most countries when their team gets eliminated. Some countries love football more or less but usually no one is happy to be out. I think Japan had the potential to qualify but played worse than usually and they missed the 3 points against Greece. I'm sure they wouldn't have lost 1-4 in last game if they had 3 points.

And in the end Greece qualified... Sure Japan's performance wasn't great at all but it could have really different just be cause of a few details... In first game they are winning then take 2 goals, in the second game they can't score a goal against 10 men

EDIT 2: Yeah not that good... At least we don't lose but tonight we weren't that great to score. A bit disappointed but we are qualified and unbeaten so it's all good I guess.

Brazil yesterday was very close to be eliminated, 2 post changed their destiny but I think they will lose against Colombia next game. Colombia looks really solid so far!!

About Mexico they lead now and Netherlands doesn't play that great... I predicted a win for them but so far I'm wrong (again) lol

Netherlands is going to win this world cup even though they were a bit struggling in the beginning of the match today.

Well they are a favorite since the beginning, we will see. Too bad for Mexico but they were too weak at the very end. Sad to be out like that, they did a great World Cup.

Now I hope Costa Rica will win  .clap.

From what I read, he said there was no penalty the first time, he dived but at the end there was penalty. I think there was 3-4 actions like that with him in the game, honestly at some point you cannot expect getting away with it, Mexico played bad in second half and it was bound to happen IMHO, I don't think you can blame the referee here.

Anyway, today France and Germany games! Hoping that France can get an "easy" win and play good to boost our confidence because if everything goes according to plan we should meet Germany in the next round and that will be a huge battle... Well first we need to win against Nigeria, they could win too, their game against Argentina was good.

I really doubt Netherlands will win the cup, they struggled against Mexico until Herrera decided to play a very defensive game, I think even Costa Rica could give them problems, anyway, I don't see them defeating Argentina, not in Brazil.

And Colombia did good, even though we still have a lot of problems that need to be worked on I have hope, I just didn't like the defensive approach Pekerman took in the late part of the second half, but at least it kind of worked.

Well, France won woot!!!!! Was a close game but at the very end we were much better and could score. It could have gone both ways to be honest, at some points we played badly but Nigeria couldn't score.

Germany had a very close game, I did not expect that at all... It's really good for us for the quarter, they played more and may be a bit more tired ^^ Will be a huge game =O I think France can win but it will be really difficult, Germany is so solid.

@topic: So France will play next round with Germany. I`ve didn`t saw last night games so  i don`t know how the teams played. Probably Germany`s game was hard  because they won the game in extra time.

Anyway ....today i hope that i can watch the games .I want USA & Switzerland to win .

but brazil will win only with a little 'push by the side' for me. sure, they have great players but it's look like they miss something other teams has (as argentina). also, neymar seems to not be at his 100% which make me think what strategy the team will use, they can't lose him since they want him to become the star of the world cup (and rodriguez from columbia is near to take that spot)

I was actually surprised by usa team yesterday, when did they become so good is soccer? ahah. these next matches will be sooo intense. the level of the game is getting definitly high (I wonder who will survive them. most of the latest went 120' game and most of the players couldn't play until the end)

To be fair, without an amazing GK, USA leaves this games with 0-3 in the regular time, Howard actually set a new record with 15 saves in a world cup game and Belgium had many many chances but always missed the final touch. I am not saying USA is bad, just that they deserved the loss ^^ The fun thing is, they had 2 amazing goal chance, I think one was to get in the lead 2-1, the other to make it 2-2? Anyway they missed it It was an entertaining game and USA is definitely a good soccer country now. I like their fighting spirit and how everything seems possible when they play.

About Brazil, they are solid and all but without Neymar they are incredibly ordinary... Except Neymar, no Brazilian player could really make the difference at all.

I think Colombia will beat them if Brazil doesn't improve their game/tactics/etc. Not saying they will lose 5-0 ^^ but Colombia seems really good in this tourney! And James Rodriguez is walking on water... I guess that if he has a bad day it could be different and Colombia might struggle? We will see friday.

Hopefully France can win against Germany, I think it's really possible because Germany doesn't look invincible at all but... it's Germany damn!! They are so solid and good T_T We can win but will have to play one of the best game we played in a our recent history and be very efficient with our goal chances.

You may not know it, but there is a huge history between France and Germany in football and for us this is basically a final.

I'm going to be sad if we lose but in the end the only thing I really want is that our players play with passion and give all they have on the field, want them to really go for it and have no regrets.

I think France can win against Germany, it will be hard but it is possible. 
I see Colombia win against Brazil. Colombia was strong during their matches while Brazil underwent.

France vs. Germany is a bit hard to predict. It's probably going to be a close game. But I think France will win.

As for Brazil vs Colombia.. Brazil got a lot of yellow cards, Colombia has a pretty high chance of winning if Brazil decide to play it safe.
