アップテンポな曲って無条件にテンションあがるよね。初パンク。とてもシンプルな歌詞と演奏で出来てる曲です。でもここで歌ってるような事が1番大事なんやろーなーと思います。ライブでは全員で踊りたいですね。ハッピーな感じに。このアルバムの中で1番コピーしやすいと思います

I would imagine that as a yes. I recall hearing she is putting more time into learning to read/write music and as one of her tweets stated, she is impressed with the violin. This points to an expansion in her musical interests. .happy.

Mami, I know how to play the violin! Though I'm still struggling with the bow techniques. I need more practice (and probably a left-handed violin). .sweat.

And I still need to know more about music theory.

They are on tour mode again, and I think that's nice. :)I just wish they'd release a DVD for it next year... I want to hear all songs in STANDARD live.

Today, it was announced that SCANDAL will be performing in Hawaii next June, and my friends and I really want to go/are planning on going. I tweeted to RINA, "Thanks for coming to the US again! We're coming from Los Angeles to Hawaii!" and she said, "Wait for us, okay! We'll do another US tour too!" I really hope the latter part comes true soon! I replied again and told her I'm really looking forward to a US tour and that they definitely need to come to LA, haha.

There's no need to wait for the time when you become old ladies!

SCANDAL is more like Princess Princess' style, but I aways hope they become something like SHOW-YA in the future. It would be awesome if they go for more hard rock style of songs, but what I want SCANDAL to pick up from SHOW-YA's example is to continue the band even for 25 plus years, to organize events for girl bands and such.

Another US tour... like when they toured live houses in all those major cities back during their indie years? That would be so cool..

But isn't it weird that she just "announce" this like that in a reply? Because if they were planning on a tour it must be secret? Or does she mean "wait for us one day we will be back for a tour" in a more general way? We know they want to play in a lot of countries.

Oh, I'm in no way actually interpreting that as an 'official' announcement; I'm sure she just meant it in a general way, like what babaloued said about RINA saying they'll go back to France. I had tweeted her back in January about us going to Osaka-Jo Hall if we could and to please do a US tour again, and she said, "We'll do it!" Of course nothing official has come of that yet, so it's pretty much just a general thing she says about countries they want to go back to, especially about the US since it's where they had their first tour. One day in the (hopefully near) future it'll really come true!

Bands are paid to play at those Conventions, at least they are in the USofA. At some point, Scandal will become too "expensive" to pay to perform and would imagine they already are for most. I would take a guess that only the largest conventions that draw 40-50K+ would be able to afford them. I sure know that Dragon-Con can afford them easily but that con isn't "Japan" focused.

As for why companies don't do more international events...depends on the bands actually. With Scandal almost on continual tours in Japan it leaves little room to send them off on small tours where they are mostly unknown and wont make much of a profit if at all. But yeah, I was actually thinking this morning, why don't they group up with other Japanese bands and do some kind of "Japan night" tour.

Use a band like Shonen Knife to help break into the American/British market since they have a decent following. Then again, they are on a different label so that may be impossible.

It makes sense that they may be too expensive now but I still think that their company should do something like that to promote them. I don't think it could hurt them to play in a big event oversea in an anime con or something like that. Sure don't do it for a small one with only 1000 people...

The "Japan night" tour sounds great too, get some popular bands together and make a small tour to gather many fans.

Typically, a 3rd company (not Sony/Epic) brings over Japanese artists/pays for them to go to anime cons and the like outside of Japan. As with the case with SCANDAL when they were last here in the US two years ago for an anime convention, a separate company brought them over, controlled everything, and basically made it a bit of a hell for the staff con and con-goers.

No worries man, we know you have a life and I am sure everyone would agree that we would rather have you do some once in a while than burn out and not do them anymore.
