Heh, but nah, I tried doing the Ninja Warrior thing the first couple of years it remained underground but now it's all national so I simply lost interest... Likewise I couldn't let the physique go to waste so I signed up for Zombies instead!!! HA HA HA!!! Although seeing as how the recent NW tourney worked out, it peaked my interest to maybe try again next year so you never know what I'll sign up for next...

"The Walking Dead, nuff said! Unlike the zombie run I mentioned before, this will actually take place in the perimeter walkways of Petco Park. Looking at the course outline and having been there, you're gunna be doing a lot of uphill running... A LOT!!! HA HA!!!"

So if you guys are in the area around that time, it'll be a lot of fun to run the course. All survivors will get a limited edition of The Walking Dead issue #100 and spectators get a limited edition poster. No need to be an attendee of the convention to run this event.

I personally don't know what wave I'll be running since I'm still coordinating with some of my other buddies, but so far with the panels and such that I'm planning to attend, I'll be looking into either an early Friday wave or anytime Saturday. That will undoubtedly change because there's lots of shennanigans that happen on Saturday also... heh...

YAY! Good ol'fashion punk rock! Eruh, poppy punk at times but they've been around since before I was even born, so their style is good stuff! Just to sorta ear it out, they're like the mothers to Puffy AmiYumi and other bands with a similar sound.

@bigOeyez Unfortunately I have the night shifts, so I'll be around the anime rooms after 4:00 pm. till closing throughout SDCC. I should be easy to spot though if you drop by the anime rooms on Saturday, I'm cosplaying as a Shinsen gumi swordsman that day, just ask for Anthony. A few friends and I are headed to Warner Brothers in the morning to ask them for a US release of the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live action movie

I haven't seen Shonan Knife live since the mid 1990's so I'm up for catching their SD show at the Casbah. I wonder if Atsuko will be there, she was my first drummer girl crush Even if she isn't, I know Naoko should still be doing the vocals.

Actually, what was surprising was that I wasn't the only one typing it, so there were others out there! If you look at that screenshot, the text that said "SCANDAL" doesn't have a yellow border over it, so I didn't type it~

@ A.Fan: DUDE! I totally forgot to drop by the anime room during the con... I spent most of my time picking up exclusives from Hasbro and doing the Adventure Time!!! Quest thing, so time just flew over my head... For sure though, we'll kick it at Shonen Knife!

For Northern California folks, there's a Shonen Knife show in San Francisco on Friday, August 10, and in San Jose on Saturday, August 11.

Funny story about how I heard about this show in the first place. I'm doing an internship this summer, and one of my coworkers is from Japan. I've talked with him about my learning Japanese, and mentioned that I was participating in the SCANDAL fan letter project. He looked up SCANDAL on YouTube and thought that they were pretty good!

The fact that they are an all-girl band reminded him of Shonen Knife, whom he used to like back in his college days. He found their website and discovered that they were on tour, got a ticket to the San Francisco show, and mentioned it to me. I'd heard a song or two before then, but then I looked up some more and found their music quite catchy, so I might check out the concert.

I guess SCANDAL is to me now as Shonen Knife was to him back then. Music really does connect us all!
