Thats what I thought when I was 18 years old, very awkward and my english wasnt very good! I met every one at SH and its been nothing but amazing everyday since, you should absolutely join us and share all the memories we're going to have from that event! woop!

I know how you feel. I felt much the same way when I made the decision to go to Hawaii for SCANDAL's live. It was the first time I had ever traveled anywhere by myself, it was the first concert I was going to by myself, and dealing with the idea of being around so many strangers without anyone close to me around was not the easiest thing to deal with.

There was a point of considering not going but I talked to a close friend for a while and she said things that convinced me. Sometimes, it is better to take a risk and face your fears rather than allow them to stop you. If you can afford to go then I would say to give it a go. Who knows, taking the risk and going to the convention might be something that can help you a lot~ ^.^

Everyone at SH is really nice and everyone was very welcoming when I met them for the first time. It can feel scary at first but once you meet everyone, it starts to feel better and gets more comfortable. I know that meeting everyone certainly helped me become a bit more comfortable in social situations........... Although I'm still an extremely quiet person haha. x)

Give it a try~ :3 Things can often surprise you. c: You'll meet a lot of new people and will definitely make a lot of new friends~ ^.^

Wow, those are nice words not just for the person you are replying too but I'm sure many others as well.
I'm also looking forward to making some friends in the SH community.

Plus I get to meet SCANDAL! That makes me feel a little bit nervous. But I don't want to miss this opportunity.

I'm not going to the Chicago show but I completely understand how you feel, as I think a lot of people do based on the replies. I considered not going to the LA shows since I don't have anyone around here to go with, and my best friend that I saw most concerts with isn't anywhere nearby or wanting to go. But I really want to see/meet SCANDAL and now people from SH, so maybe if you focus on that it will help.
 I can definitely understand how hard it can be, I dealt with the same issue for a decade or so until I finally realized how much it was holding me back in things I really wanted. I didn't get over it in one go (or completely for that matter) but with help from friends and other means it got much better. Just posting on here took a bit of effort from me, so you're actually probably a step ahead there ^^.
 Also, if you are unhappy with your current friends this could be a great opportunity to make some new friends. Geographical distance is irrelevant now a days really, I have had some really great friends online (and looking to make some here) from all over the world, so I would say give it a go even if it is hard, which I know social anxiety is extremely hard to deal with. Honestly I think antisocial is really just social anxiety in this case, it seems like you want to be around people but find it awkward/uncomfortable, and I understand how bad that conflict can be. Everyone here seems really friendly so I think it's going to be a great experience.
 And now I've gone and given a speech I think, O.o

thanks everyone. The biggest problem seems handled by SH. The real problem comes from "work". Instead of working all year I do seasonal work which only lasts for 3 months. So taking 4 days off is really like taking 4 weeks off.

Yes, this is all included in the price of membership. Only the premium assigned seats will be an additional charge (and this charge will be low - we are only looking to recover the cost of managing, printing, and distributing tickets, along with labor costs associated with ushering).

I wish I could have gone to both Chicago and LA. I would have loved to see a Scandal panel discussion where fans could ask questions (assuming they do that there). If they do, I hope someone posts up a recap :D

Unfortunately, if you're looking to get them, you're a bit too late. VIP tickets for both shows are already sold out. You can still purchase regular tickets, though.

About the Acen group, right now I'm trying to get payment sorted out with the con. Although I had thought that each person could individually pay for their badge, the only option is to have the admin of the group pay for every badge, which I am not willing to do. I sent them an e-mail to see if they can apply the discount, invoice us separately, and send all of the badges to me (since they can only send them to one address).

So, depending on what Acen replies back to me with and/or when they decide to make the tickets available, we might have to abandon the group idea--unless everyone can pay me for their badge before tickets go on sale. First, though, we'll just have to wait and see what Acen will reply back with.

I think that description pretty much encompasses the entire M&G: you basically just get to take a photo with them. That's a way better deal than Europe's "high five" VIP tickets where you'll most likely only get to high five them and that's it. Also, it doesn't sound like they'll actually be doing a live autograph signing; it says that you'll receive a pre-signed poster.

Honestly, the photo with the band thing is pretty darn awesome. That's better than an autograph, as far as I'm concerned. Haha...I mean, an autographed item is something you can buy off the internet, but a photo with the band is something you can only get if you meet them :D

The photo was a huge factor, as soon as we told some of the fans in Japan we met in Hawaii they immediately started considering coming over and some even said they would come!

kind of a dumb question but if I go to Acen would it be possible to get around without renting a car? Never been to a big city like that and trying to get my ducks in a row before pulling the trigger on my "vacation".

Chicago has a huge public transportation system consisting of trains and buses. You'll be fine.

the convention center where Acen will be held has like 4 or 5 hotels around it so its all walking distance. its also like15 minutes away from the city of chicago, theres good transportation if ur planning of visiting downtown.
