I gotta say STANDARD may be their best album so far, even better than Queens are Trumps and Best Scandal, let's wait for 02/10 and see for sure .wow.

If I didn't know who Scandal was, I wouldn't really know what to make of the PV..
But since I'm already crazy about this band I simply can't get over how cute and amazing the girls were!

The previews have me really interested about the rest of the album. I'm looking forward to hearing the full audio to Orange Juice even more now. .wow.  Hearing the beginning of Weather Report be a balland makes me really interested in it too. I always love hearing the girls do slower songs, Haru's voice in particular always sounds so amazing when they do a ballad.

I have to agree with others that this sounds like SCANDAL's most creative album. There's a pretty good mixture of rock and pop, not to mention some of the songs seem to combine both of those. It's really shaping up to be a very good album, I can't wait until it's released.


The PV for SCANDAL In THE HOUSE was so funny, I loved it aha. I can't wait to see it in HQ. I love Haru's wizard costume, it makes her look so cute. :3 The girls looked like they had so much fun with the PV. It's nice to see them letting loose and acting so silly in one of their PV's.

I think this is going to be my favourite album from them. I can't wait to hear Metronome, Weather Report, Orange Juice...I can't wait to hear the whole album .lol. 
Musically wise, I think their sound matured a lot and there is much more creativity and complexity. And they finally fully produced a song...looking forward to the day they'll release a full album like that.

I was totally hoping HARU to wear a wizzard outfit, and even if it was very short, it was so great lol! Well she realized her dream even if it was only for a shoot in the PV .lol. 

I really regret now that SITH is only a b-side/bonus DVD track to be honest, i love it so much

The PV for SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE was hilarious... I just can't help but laugh!  .lol. I don't know why I'm always laughing at Haru's part (the shockingly "peaceful" part). Maybe because it's so different from the others. It's their craziest, funniest and most colorful PV ever (next is PLAYBOY, IMO)!

But I have to say, one must be a fan or knows them well to enjoy this. If they aren't, and watched this for the first time, I think they'd just be staring at it blankly, thinking "WTH are they doing?". :|

Sure you have to know them to understand the craziness and it's even better when you know what the lyrics mean! But if someone doesn't know them they will just see 4 crazy and cute japanese girls singing and dancing, I'm sure they are PV that are much much much more crazier or weird haha =P

^Well, I seem to have harsh experiences with other people when it comes to SCANDAL. Some people may find it weird that I'm hooked to them or how crazy I am with them and they can come off as harsh but I know their intentions may not be that bad, so I just laugh it off (with my heart partially bleeding. lol). Sorry, kinda off-topic...

I know there are a lot of other music videos that are crazier than this (some are even demoralizing), but I also want people who are new to SCANDAL to take them seriously as a band first before laughing with me in watching this PV... with the translations too if necessary.   There are also times when I feel like I have to promote SCANDAL in the best way that I can. I just don't want them to have false pretenses on the girls.

Yeah for sure SITH shouldn't be the first PV to show to a friend who doesn't know SCANDAL, same for PLAYBOY for example I think or OVERDRIVE. SITH is more a special parody for the fans, only included in the limited DVD anyway.

PVs like Awanai, Shunkan or Shoujo S are more "simple" and rocky and could be a good example for newcomers. Kagen or LOVE SURVIVE too depending on what style you want to show. Well actually a lot of the PVs are ok to show, just not some special ones like SITH =P

I need to control myself in watching anymore of that low quality video of SITH PV and listening to those short previews of the songs.. .sweat. 

My excitement is just rising! I can't sleep normally for a couple of days probably until I get my copy (and then probably I will have more sleepless nights for listening to the cd and watching the awesome SITH PV in HD).whistle.

I've already watched that LQ video dunno how many times, and I never manage to stop myself from laughing every single time. Every MAMI's shampoo/hair dye commercial comes on I start to giggle, and by the time HARU's singing part comes on I can't control myself anymore. Definitely the most nonsensical video they've produced so far (I meant that in a good way), totally loving it, although I agree it's not the first video I would ever show to anyone. Can't wait for the release so I can get my DVD for the HQ one.

Anyone else thinks HARU should wear those kind of dresses more often? I think she looks amazing during her singing part. I thought her femininity just broke new levels in those few seconds. RINA looks amazing too in that blue dress.

And yeah, I really want to see how those haters respond to this album. The 45 second previews are already pointing to the fact this could be one of their best albums. Makes the feeling of proving those haters wrong much more sweet.

I totally agree with your opinion especially the haru part, she's dazzling wearing that dress    we often see the serious haru type but we were able to see her playful and cute side in SITH video. And for me mami's cat part and custome is .love.  and for those haters of this album just by hearing the 45 sec preview, it would be nice to see them crying over spilled milk..haha! (kidding)

I've always thought that BEST SCANDAL was their, uhm.. best album (because I find that it's the most cohesive one to date) but I feel like STANDARD may well be changing my opinion. Haha.

omg i love weather report and the girls did well on composing on some of the song .smile.

I must say STANDARD is quite a good album, overall. It seems to a continuation of Queen are Trumps in the sense that SCANDAL continues to experiment with different types of music styles. Having listened to all the songs, I still felt STANDARD was my favourite. Simply because you can't group it with the rest of the songs SCANDAL has released. Though I might add, STANDARD is quite similar to the other music I listen to. But I loved all the other albums songs as well.

I give it 4.5/5.

I can't wait for mine to arrive so I gave in and listened first. Aside from the singles, I love these:

Brand New Day - that groovin' sound is love! Great song to start off the album.
Skyrocket - Feel good song, Tomomi's parts are still bit hard on my ears (no offence, I'm already getting used to it) but I love that guitars at the bridge and 'huu huu' part lol
Weather Report - that intro kills me everytime I listen to it, such amazing one and haruna's voice just blends so well. Guitar riffs towards the end is fabulous! half-wishing they would lengthen it bit more, MAMI rules. 
STANDARD and Hachigatsu - I think they really did quite a good job for these songs. They should really explore their abilities to compose more in the future. 

Overall, it feels less rock but actually, upon listening for second time, the songs have some sick guitars here and there. I think it's a nice album to rock out too in live. Some songs still need to grow on me, but I'm loving what I'm hearing atm.

I feel really kind of bad and guilty for it, but I'm another person who listened to the leak. When I heard about the leak, I was very adamant in telling myself that I wasn't going to listen to it until I could actually buy it from iTunes on its release day. But with everyone talking about it, I ended up caving and listening to it. I am weak-willed. .sweat. 

I know the leak could hurt STANDARD's album sales, which is why it makes me feel bad to be listening to the leak of it but the album is amazing. I will still plan on buying the album off of iTunes (since I can't afford to actually physically buy it) and I really hope everyone else will still buy this album if they haven't pre-ordered it already. I hope the leak won't hurt the sales too much.

It's perfect in every way. I absolutely love it, there's no doubt it's probably going to quickly become my favorite album so far from SCANDAL. .love. 

It's hard deciding between all of the tracks I love on the album, but I think my favorite would have to be Metronome. It's been on repeat for quite a while now. c: The song is just very strong. The drums, guitar, bass, and vocals are all so strong. I love the riffs for the guitars. Haru is very forceful and strong in the song. I just love how strong and catchy the song is.

STANDARD, Weather Report, and Orange Juice are some other songs from the album that I really liked. I love STANDARD's raw, hard rock feel. I love Weather Report's ballad-esque sound to it, Haru's voice is absolutely gorgeous and stunning at the beginning. And Orange Juice is just a very interesting song. xD

I think the album definitely does have a nice balance between pop and rock while adding in many in-between genres/elements. It's got a very good variety and I think any type of fan can find a song on it that they like. Usually with SCANDAL's albums, there's at least one song on it that I have to get used to in order to like it, but there wasn't really a song on this album like that. I loved all of them the first time I listened to it.

I'm really proud of the girls. They all worked so hard and did so well on the album. They've grown up a lot and improved so much as musicians. They're only going to get even better from here.
