Currently SCANDAL are #3 on Oricon weekly (#1 is Perfume with gazillon copies, #2 is Superfly with 30,980 copies)

Got my CD this morning. It's fantastic .dies. The package, the booklet, etc are really great and the sound is better than the leaked version!

Good job SCANDAL  Really a good album! Again, I hope it sells reaaaaaaally well, they deserve it so much.

Just picked up my copy of Over Drive single and Standard (T shirt edition) today.
Also bought the Hong Kong edition as well. The folder that came with it is just real nice!

For those of you who like "Metronome", I strongly recommend listening to another all-girl Japanese band called FLiP. This song reminds me of them a lot.

Also "Namida yo Hikare" is absolutely wonderful. Well the whole album is wonderful anyway.

Yep, it reminds me of Cherry Bomb track, the riff is of course different but it has the same powerful heavy rock impact!

I'm still waiting for my Deluxe Edition. Normally, it comes one day after the release day but nothing came on thursday.

I just received my first Scandal album+dvd, yatta! Can't wait to unbox it tonight.

It might be too soon to ask this since it looks like most people are still waiting for their copies, but has anyone gotten a signed sticker in their Regular Edition of STANDARD? In case you weren't aware, they randomly included individually signed stickers in the RE, and that edition only.

M1. Brand new wave
We wanted to make a dance number that had danger and sharpness to it. TOMOMI was tweaking the lyrics all the way until we started recording. We made this track 1 after much agonizing. That's why the order of the songs is a gradation that goes from glittery to rocky. The CM song for ITO EN's 「Stylee Sparkling」 drink

M2. OVER DRIVE
A song that the 4 of us sing on. We had Yasutaka Nakata produce it. It's a song that we've sung on TV a lot too while wearing red jumpsuits. Chatmonchy happened to be working at the same studio when we were recording it, and we were given a watermelon picked from Ecchan's parents' home. Needless to say, it was delicious.

A simple message: 「I love you」. I'm glad we're now able to sing a song like this. We recorded it at its best state while repeatedly updating the chorus's melody. It's a song that ends with the same sequence as in the beginning. We changed it to HARUNA's idea of having it suit our ages. The best

Without deciding on a title in final stages of recording, we left the studio for a change of pace. Getting back a few minutes later, TOMOMI, orange candy in hand, said 「Do you think "orange juice" or "mikan" is better?」 Those were two great selections. This is THE most SCANDAL-ish song. Our axis is here. That's why it's okay to not worry about whatever happens, and not to think about unnecessary things. I hope we'll continue to be a band that does many things. It was made while imagining a live! On this song, the drums took the longest time to recordー. It's cool. Let's jump when we say 「jump!」!

A love where you can quarrel and still believe 「I'm definitely going to marry this person.」 is fascinating and beautiful. But, it's not about growing up, naturally choosing conversations, and the person you'll be with for life. Knowing that, I think we are able to to choose a love that has a time limit. It's a song that's like love that's cloudy even if it's sunny or raining.

We formed on 8/21. It's the only song on this album where we sing about ourselves. HARU didn't show us the lyrics until they were complete, and this is the finished version. We pulled out MAMI's demo from 2 years ago and it finally took shape. It's a letter from the members to the members, and a message from the 4 of us to everyone. It seems we might sing it for a while

M10. Koi no Gestalt Houkai
Wanting to do a crazy song that can be shared at lives, we did the lyrics and arrangement as such. Since the songs I've written up until now are mainly middle ballads with serious lyrics and sweet songs, I tried breaking it. We recorded breaths in the interludes and tried to violently shake the sound side to side. It's interesting when you listen to it with headphones in. The joy and feeling of disappointment when the person you longed for turns around

We went on a trip to Las Vegas shortly before making this, and we were really moved by the entertainment we saw there. We also experienced things we didn't know about yet. It's a song that we did right after a new essence entered our bodies and minds. A slightly different flashiness and poppiness comes out in it. Thrils and suspense we don't want to forget

An up-tempo song that unconditionally raises the excitement. Our first punk song. It was made with a very simple musical performance and lyrics. But, singing this is the most important. Everyone wants to dance at lives. In a happy feeling. I think this is the easiest song to cover on this album

M13. STANDARD
While on tour, we did the arrangement during rehearsals and wrote the lyrics while at hotels. Because we wrote it during the time we were seeing all of you, it's full of a live show-feeling. It's the title track and it's something we made seriously, but it feels a little different. Music, firstly, needs to be fun. This was it! Its provisional title was 「A Song That's Only In My Head」. Let's all shout out together

Nice tweets by RINA to know the songs more! It explains the Orange Juice title lol, and TIMO was involved obviously haha.

I like how she says the rocky METRONOME is a SCANDAL song. They are still the same band and try new things (like BRAND NEW WAVE). They are not a pop band doing some rock songs like many fans are thinking or are scared of.

Uh, no lol they can get their own. Like I said, we got two of each copy for ourselves. There are 3 editions of STANDARD and 2 editions of OVER DRIVE, so 5 editions x 2 people = 10 CDs & 10 posters.

I think there's mikan where it means mandarins and then there's another mikan which means incomplete, which the song technically was because there was no title.. But it's impossible to tell because it was written in kana. Interesting...

And what she says about the progression of the album from glittery to rocky is in line with my impressions.

My copies (Regular & with T-Shirt, plus Shoujo S & Sakura Goodbye) are still stuck somewhere I don't know haha. According to the EMS tracker my order left Japan last October 1st and up to now (Oct 4th) it's still not updated whether it reached UAE or not. But anyway I'm already used to the late delivery, ever since I came here to UAE all of my orders (via EMS) always arrive more or less 2 weeks after the release date. I hope I'll get that signed sticker!

So...I just watched Scandal in the House for the first time from the DVD. It was so funny and makes the song even nicer, I think the song's growing on me. .clap.

I will received mine on Monday.. .knuckles. 

How will I spend my weekend then? Aaarrrgghh.. I'm planning to listen to it from saturday morning until midnight of monday..

^ where do you guys order it from? CDJ? Mine's from yesasia, free shipping and it took them only 4 days after shipout on Monday. In this regard, because I ordered MiChi's from CDJ with EMS it arrived the same time too. So yesasia free shipping is actually pretty fast.

I don't get the posters though, what a shame. My own fault anyway for not ordering from CDJ (budget tight!)

I don't get the posters either, ordering from Amazon. It's a tradeoff; get stuff earlier, get no posters, or get stuff later and get the posters. Sometimes I think about ordering from CDJ just for the posters, but every time I order from them it seems to take forever.
