LOL... it's too bad that I couldn't watch the stream of them fighting the elite four. I've seen bits and parts of it.

Favourite has to be Bird Jesus (Pidgeot). I saw it live when it beat Starmie with 6 sand attacks LOL! But jeez, I'm actually surprised that it managed to beat victory road... and using all those strengths and what not. 

My friend said that they're going to start Pokemon Gold tomorrow at 7 AM (New York City Time)... this is going to be crazy. The pain of getting 16 badges. Prediction is that they're going to get Totodile!

They had other streams of Pokemon Blue and Yellow, but Pokemon blue was beaten relatively quick with roughly 100 people playing, and Pokemon Yellow hasn't been getting many fans either.

Regardless, it's an awesome thing to watch and amazingly frustrating!

Arnt they still ongoing? The stuff that came out of it was nice....but it got tired after a while. I was on showdown and X while that debacle.

Oddly enough, yes twitch plays pokemon is still going on!
Ever since they finished Red, they went through the Crystal and Emerald versions.
Right now, they're doing a special run of FireRed where almost everything is randomized (pokemon encounters, items, moves learned, etc.). Honestly, I only find the big battles interesting. I couldn't care any less for walking around and randomly opening/closing menus lol.
The audience has died down quite a bit, averaging about 2k-7k viewers these days.

Huh, I can understand why they're actually making progress now. It's fun if you're into it otherwise not. I personally never been on twitch, it just feels weird to be watching other people play rather then playing yourself.

I started with Pokemon watching the 1st spisode, in 1998 i guess. It was a saturday morning; I turned on the TV and Gengar was fighting Nidorino with that epic music in the background. I will never forget that! Later I saved money and bought a Gameboy Color with Pokemon Gold in japanese. Didn't undestand a thing, but it was a great time!

I already play showdown....and unfortunately thats an issue there, people are either silent like walls or just full-blown jerks. Unless they fix battle spot to have 6v6, I can't see me playing competitive at all.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire confirmed!;O

Uwaaa~ I just heard the news too! Excited bout that remake!

Looks like I'll have to get myself a 3DS sooner or later this year!
Ruby was the first pokemon game I legitimately owned and loved.
The covers (esp. Sapphire's) look like they might hint new forms for Groudon and Kyogre! More mega evolutions perhaps? :D

The next remake will be Diamond and Pearl...! Or gen 1... hehehe...

OMG! I waited so long for them! Ruby used to be my favourite together with Red!

I really hoped they would release something like that more early... I don't anticipate much on it anymore, so I'm definitely not going to buy a 3DS for that. I guess I'll just stick to the old games and appreciate them on how they were.

i just hope that this time my groudon actually stands a chance against a kyogre ( i mean groundon can't do anything against it... kyogre survives a solar beam and 1-hit kills groudon with quite everything )

I don't have a 3DS yet but is buying one just to play a couple of games worth it? 

I'll probably play pokemon alpha/omega and monster hunter 4 ultimate that's getting released on january (NA version of course). I don't wanna spend too much money on more games though since I'm working already so less time for gaming

back to the topic, I guess i'll need to check the new contents of the next pokemon titles coming out. I heard there's a new map and definitely new pokemons. Any new features?

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire update!

Mega Swampert and Mega Sceptile are CONFIRMED.
Sceptile becomes Grass/Dragon with the Lightning Rod ability.
Swampert retains its Water/Ground type, gains the Swift Swim ability, and can learn Hammer Arm.

Woah, my favorite Legendary Pokemon is looking better than ever! Now I definitely know which version I'm going to pick lol.
Mega Sceptile looks awesome :O at first, Swampert was always my main pick of the 3rd Gen starters, but I might change my mind this time XD
