Shikamaru (genius and overall badass, as well as lazy which is just cool haha), Uchiha Itachi (insane abilities, Mangekyou Sharingan, best older brother and hero to the end)
Gaara (insane powers, badass, great character development)

Bleach:
GRIMMJOW JAGGERJACK (straight up badass, one of the sickest hollow features by far [the half jaw], cool hair, awesome powers, and ressurecion reminds me of wolf link)
Zaraki Kenpachi (INSANELY powerful, reiatsu-suppressing eyepatch and KENDO, sick hair too)

FMA/FMAB:
Ed (overall amazing at fighting and alchemy, clever, funny, gotta love those angry outbursts at comments on his height)
Greed (Ling Greed too, sick powers and appearance, great character development right til the end)

1. Zaraki Kenpachi(Bleach)- I like how insanely powerful he is and how even when it looks like he is losing it never really feels that way because of how much fun he is having in the fight.
2. Kakashi(Naruto)- He is a character I feel is just cool in everything he does.
3. Sakata Gintoki(Gintama)-

Mugen (Samurai Champloo): Just cool and reckless, the coolest guy in a really cool anime. Also probably one of the coolest fighting styles ever seen in an anime.

Jiraiya (Naruto): Pervy, strong, weird haircut and always a great entrance. I mean what does a hero need more to be an epic character !?

Yoshioka Seijūrō (Vagabond): He's seriously strong and a talented fighter. But lazy and morally wrong. He's the guy who's actually not good or anything but nevertheless a great guy.

Kuchiki Byakuya (Bleach): Arrogant, emotionless and actually a quite unpleasant guy. But he's a guy with a good heart and has a cool zanpakuto.

Kisuke Urahara (Bleach): Totally weird, creepy actually, but still hilarious. Also really smart and a cool shikai and he can pull of the cane!

Hirako Shinji : love his grin, well he's not cool but his dialect and act are interesting
Urahara Kisuke : this char is annoying, but his true power is terrifying.

Gaara : well, totally evil change to totally cool after met naruto.
Kakuzu : dirtymouth, brutal technique, just cursing and kill his enemy

ONE PIECE
Potgas D. Ace : insane flame tech, cool brother
Roronoa Zoro : he maybe lazy and easy to get lost, but his will and wound are awesome

Many are cool but the latest anime that I have watched is Kuroshitsuji, then I would go for Sebastian Michaelis

Saber from Fate Stay Night: A female King Arthur is win imo.
Mio from K-on!: Moe moe kyun for the win =P Plus she has a good background.lead voice.
Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi: Super hot xD Plus she has a fun side to her which I like.
Kagami from Lucky Star: A super cute tsundere.
Ichigo, Kon and Rukia from Bleach: They have interesting personalities plus Kon is super funny.
