All the hotels I've been to that claim to offer "High Speed Internet" are falsely advertising... seriously the internet connections at the hotels are really bad, my phone's 3G (iPhone 4S can't use the 4G network) is faster.

Have any of you guys shipped using SAL from CDJapan? I just got Temptation Book and Girls Be Scandalous. I can't wait until I get them, and I'm wondering how long that'll be! I ordered something from Japan with SAL Small Packet once before, and I vaguely remember it taking at least two weeks...

Btw, I think there is ONE copy of Temptation Book left now that I got one of the last two, and nine copies of Girls Be Scandalous left, if anyone hasn't gotten them yet and is interested.

I always use FedEx, since it's cheaper than some options (and I tend to buy a lot), never tried others, and I got both Temptation Book and Girls be Scandalous.

FedEx is also generally either one day before or same day delivery (due to time zone differences), which is the main reason why I choose it compared to other options.

I wish I could've used FedEx, but it was nearly the same price as the items added together! D:

I always choose SAL when I order from CDJ (I hate paying for any kind of shipping so I always try to pay as little as I possibly can), and it generally takes a little more than 1 week/almost 2 weeks (usually about 10-12 days) for me to get them here in LA. It can vary, though, like when I ordered the TEMPTATION BOOK + R GIRL's ROCK! last December and I received them in a week. Oh, and it's also never taken more than 2 weeks for me to get something.

@Geo: I used EMS for a big shipment last week from Japan that spanned over the holiday rush (supposedly)...

It left Japan on the 19th and arrived on my doorstep on the 24th, pretty quick if you ask me... HA HA!

I just got my ticket to Universal studios from mycokerewards.com and I'll try to request that saturday off, 2 people from my office are leaving on maternity leave/vacation and I've been assigned to 3 saturdays January -_-. i'll get back to you on this one

Is there someday within the next two weeks that most of you all can meet? It'd be nice to meet other people from SH, since I'm so far from home currently.

@Nate: For me, I'm tight with time because of my holiday work schedule, but I'm usually available for a few hours after 5pm and my free time will ultimately be open after New Years... Bad thing is that it takes me about 2-2.5hrs to make it up to the LA area because of bad traffic, so I always make it in pretty late for a meet... boo...

Unless if everyone wants to come down to SD, then I don't mind showing everyone around town... There's a Mitsuwa, a bunch of other Japanese restaurants, a Japanese Friendship Garden, etc.... If it's anything having to do with food, drinks, party, I'm always pretty current in that scene... (Plus it'll take a load off "Koi Moyou" since her car can't make long trips... safely... HA HA!)

Or like I've always been saying, PARTY AT LALE'S!!!

Okay so, my complete schedule of January got messed up because 2 people at my office are leaving for a few weeks, I'm going to seaworld on saturday with my sister and her daughter so if you wanna hang out I'm sure she wouldnt mind that we meet and hang out for the day, plus, it would be cool :D (gotta use that annual pass to the limit ) Also, Sunday, im completely available to, for example, go to Disney, since its pretty close to my house I can drive back early enought not to be late Monday for work, if it were to be in LA I'd have to drive 1:30-2hrs back and would be exhausted for work. What do you guys say? Anyone up for this weekend?

I'll probably be with Peter, no plans though, but I don't want to stay out too late, got a really early flight the next day.

I don't have any definite plans but seeing that you're near the beach, I'd say we're gunna end up roaming the Venice Beach Boardwalk to take in the sights and drinks... "Rubio's or In-n-Out since there's no locations out on the Eastcoast... Drinks, those will be waiting at whatever bar "

I wasn't planning on staying too long since I'll be stuck in mad traffic if I leave after 3pm to go back East, so I'll leave the dinner plans up to Nate and we'll play everything by ear as the day goes by... I'm not hopping on any LA freeways from 3.30pm-6.00pm, so you guys aren't running away from me that easily if I stick around til late... HA HA!
