Watched three last night:
BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS (1980) - loved this one when I was a kid, so I showed it to my pseudo-step son. He's 10 and called it "low budget," in which I had to explain that it was really advanced for it's time, particularly since it was a Roger Corman film (with James Cameron as the Art Director). I then had to explain who Roger Corman was.
Me and the missus then watched a Joan Blondell pre-code double feature:
NIGHT NURSE (1931) - with Barbara Stanwyck and Clark Gable as the bad guy
LAWYER MAN (1932) - starring Dick Powell (we love him, especially all the THIN MAN movies with Myrna Loy, who's an absolute doll)
Speaking of bad guys... The night before I watch another Joan Blondell film, THREE ON A MATCH (1932), which also starred Bette Davis, Ann Dvorak and Humphrey Bogart as the thuggish bad guy.
