I need to know for sure if you are serious and are definitely going to go once we get everything together. I will e-mail you to let you know of any important updates.

If you do not send me an e-mail, you will not be able to participate in this tour.

Maybe you could contact the interested members directly by email and follow up with them? Some people might not check SH every day and could miss your posts before the deadline (if there is one). I personally forgot to check SH yesterday, which is why I didn't respond until now. But I'll be checking this thread every day now.

@Geoff: Unfortunately, most of the members who haven't replied yet just signed up on the day they replied, so they don't have any contact information listed. I'll be PMing them if I don't hear from them soon.

FYI, guys:

I have important information regarding registration that I currently will be disclosing through e-mail only. Please make sure to e-mail me with your SH username and real name if you haven't done so already!

Although I cannot make it myself, I highly encourage those on the fence to take this opportunity as they do not come often, unless you live in Japan of course, where you will more than likely have more opportunities.

As a fan, meeting with your favourite artists is always inspiring and something you will remember for the rest of your life. Not going is something you will definitely regret.

Non-Scandal example: My brother and I are huge fans of Marty Freidman. He came over to Australia a few years back to do a clinic and my brother couldn't make it due to financial reasons.  I went on my own, had a blast and had my guitar signed.  With Marty in Japan and us being in Australia, chances of him coming over again is probably zero and my brother regrets it to this day (doesn't help that I rub it into him every now and then).  Since then, whenever any of our favourite artists come over, he doesn't hesitate.  He skimps on everything to save up (he has a wife and two kids to feed).  We have since been to clinics by Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani, who are guitar legends but Marty is our favourite and he most likely will never get another chance to meet his ultimate guitar hero.
Good job in organising something like this as I can't imagine it being easy  

Even then, I heard they don't even normally do things on this level for their fans in Japan so this whole tour is a golden opportunity.

@kFDzero: Thanks for sharing your story. The tour fee totally eliminated the chances of anyone going with me so it bummed me out a bit and I felt anxious since I'm going to a place I've never been to with no one there or with me that I know but hearing that you had a good time by yourself made me feel better. I'm gonna try to focus on how I'm actually going to see the girls and have plenty of opportunities to meet new friends.

Also, if anyone is interested in splitting a hotel room to save money or getting to know each other before the tour then just message me! Especially those of you like me that are flying solo. 

Yep, the band has said that they've never done anything like this ever before, and they've especially never done anything quite like this in Japan. So yes, this is definitely something you shouldn't miss out on if you can make it out.

And Fredrick, you live in SoCal? A bunch of us here always get together to hang out/eat/etc. usually around Little Tokyo in Downtown LA or Sawtelle in West LA, so the next time we do something you're more than welcome to come out so that we can all meet each other before Hawaii! That also applies to anyone else who lives in SoCal and wants to meet up!

@kFDzero It definitely isn't an opportunity to miss. I've been dying for chances like this. I am a musician and my style is similar to their early works so they truly inspire me to produce music. Plus I'm a Fender guy so they got me hooked :PSeeing them live is one thing but seeing them in a more intimate environment is a dream come true!

I wish I still lived in Cali T^T I would have loved to have meetings with other fans. You don't find too many SCANDAL fans here in Florida

@Fredrickfx I wouldn't mind splitting a hotel with you as well as being your sidekick for the trip since mine dropped out. It'll be fun to get to know everyone here. Just an option I'm throwing out there to consider. I too am flying solo, quite literally flying solo to Hawaii that is buh dum tshhh!

I actually haven’t been to Sawtelle and the last time I was in Little Tokyo was when I was a kid so everything will be pretty much be new to me, haha. @macrx78: Sweet, that’s a ton of money off both our shoulders! It’s funny how we’re on the exact same boat. What was your partner’s reason for bailing? Mine’s parent’s re-wedding unfortunately fell on one of the days. I’ll fill you in on the details when I find a hotel!

dude, totally, where in SoCal are you? I live in Lake forest so im the only one of us from OC but most of the SH peeps are around LA, we are going to hang out sometime soon to do some kind of stuff we had planned, maybe you should join us for that!

Also, after we are register on the site and have our registration secured and all we'll start planning which hotel we're going to stay at we'll definitely be sharing rooms to make it cheaper and if we all stay at the same place/around the same area itll be easier to move around!

This is sounding like such a great opportunity to not only meet the band but also to meet like minded people. 

Can't wait to hear about how it all goes down - plenty of pictures to share with those who can't go would be very nice please.

Btw, don't forget to pack a camera - highly unlikely anyone will be going without a camera but just in case. One of the meet and greet clinics I attended didn't allow pictures to be taken using a phone so I only got my guitar signed but no photo - which really stank.

Sorry to disappoint, but, as with any Japanese artist-related event, there won't be any picture taking allowed (aside from the group pictures we're promised). This is one of the rules:

"The use of smartphones, cell phone cameras, video cameras, etc. for photography and video is strictly prohibited during the Fan Meeting Tour."

Sucks that we can't take our own pictures and whatnot, but it's to be expected, unfortunately.  

I've been thinking of getting a hostel since I'm going to stay there for about a week, but if you guys are all invading a hotel, I'm totally down!!

Well unfortunately my friend was in a car accident and had to redirect her funds towards paying off the property damages :/
I actually reserved a hotel already  it's the Ewa Waikiki Hotel by the Marriott hotel where the event is being held so it's literally within walking distance.

Ah everyone always lives in SoCal... OTL  I live in Norcal haha
Any who I am way down to share a hotel room if anyone would have me ^_^

Speaking of hotels, if enough of us stay in the same hotel, we might get a discount on the rooms. Speaking from experience as a hotel worker, some will give discounts to large groups who get a lot of rooms. I'm not sure which hotels do this any more but it's worth remembering when we're talking hotels. ^^
