For me personally SCANDAL seems to be unrivaled in term of all-girl rock bands.   

But i was wondering, are there any western all girl bands out there comparable to SCANDAL? You know... sexy, cute, great at playing their instruments etc...

Maybe i am overlooking some great sexy rock-girls bands out there, so please help me.

the Go-go's.....but i never liked their music..there were also L7, Bikini Kill, 7 year *oooops bad word detected*..etc. all American female alternative bands..

Another all girl American band was 'The Runaways', Joan Jett went on to have her own band.

Cherri Bomb. 

They used to be an all-girls band and they are probably the most similar to Scandal (young, pretty, high-energy). But unfortunately they lost their main member in 2013 and the replacement... is a guy!! Nevertheless, still 3 out of 4 members are girls .

there are others, but most of them that i listen to falls into the category of Metal.
since u ask for rock, i think above is a bit similar to Scandal.

I used to think of Scandal as like a Japanese version of The Runaways; they were really similar early in their careers. But The Runaways broke up pretty quickly so they never moved past that raw early stage like Scandal has.

This song doesn't have Cherie Currie in it, but it's one of my favorite Runaways songs and Joan Jett always reminds me of Haruna (and vice versa).



I used to like The Donnas and they also sound a lot like Scandal sometimes does, although I haven't heard their recent stuff.

Veruca Salt - not an all-girl band but fronted by two women. The blending vocals of Nina Gordon and Louise Post reminds me of Haruna and Tomomi respectively, except that Gordon and Post are both guitarists. They were one of the front runners of the Riot Grrll Band movement in the 1990s.

General Luna - an experimental hard rock band composed by five beautiful musicians (with different musical backgrounds) from Manila, Philippines.

Oh, I almost forgot! The Spice Girls - they rocked the ”90s too, LOL!

Honestly, i don't think your really missing out, not saying there aren't pretty, sexy, talented, instrument playing, american rock girl bands but a band with all those qualities well. . no. Most rocker's on Scandals level of music don't just sing instead of grunting, moaning etc, and they're afraid not to be taken seriously to try anything new! I've looked too! Sorry had to say it!  .please. taking as far as american rock goes of course!

Scandal are all about the music, they let their talents and instruments speak enough for them, don't relay on their good looks (soo pretty though  )  they aren't in your face loud aggressive, cursing feminists, they know who they are and aren't afraid to try new things (Scandal in the house, Pokemon Ieru Kana  .clap.  ), so hard working fresh and creative!

They're Ivy Rose, an all-Filipino girl rock band from Washington, DC.

Maybe Vanilla Ninja? They aren't as young as girls from Scandal but their music is really good.
