Don't really have a specific genre that I only listen to, as long as something catches my ear, I don't care if it's country or death-metal or very childish.
though J-music is my main interest, mostly jpop/jrock, but then there is the jhip-hop/rap and the occasional enka. anime song was what brought me in, but if you think anime songs are all childish like american cartoon, then your sadly mistaken, many different type of music are used in anime songs. but i think most of you know already.
Artists include, SCANDAL (of course), Morning Musume, L'arc~en~ciel, X-japan, Ketsumeishi, EXILE, T.M. Revolution, JUDY and MARY, GReeeeN, Aqua Timez, HOME MADE KAZOKU, DMC, Yuna ito, Utada Hikaru, ZONE.
other than J-music, I also listen to alot of Classical music, Mozart, Beethoven, etc. Been listening to it since elementary school, but really got into it after Nodame Cantabile.
Other than that, there is also the occasional HK-pop music and K-pop, but only a little. I grew up watching Hong Kong movies and TVB series. K-pop, sure there are some like KARA and SNSD, but only like 1 in 10 songs. Epik High was cool, so was MC Mong. but I gradually lost interest over time.

I usually listen to r&b's and such.
My friends thought it was weird since they knew that I'm a fan of anime & manga and anything Japanese.
There are a few Japanese bands and artists that I like, such as YUI, Utada Hikaru, etc but I've never got that addicted as I am to SCANDAL.

hahaha,, i don't hate "all" tagalog songs,(I truly give a thumbs up for old filipino music like those of sampaguita, yano, e-heads, juan dela cruz....)... BUT I TRULY HATE THE MODERN ONES..(they simply suck!!!)

Jpop Songs, (especially SCANDAL'S) most of them are from anime openings too :D and Korean Pop (KPOP)

Ehehehe, hate all the modern tagalog songs huh? Well me, can't say that.. I like some like Itchyworms, Kjwan, Orange & Lemons (although disbanded..). But yeah i just really don't appreciate mainstream bands like Callalily, 6 Cyclemind, etc.

From Gustav Hielm, Beethoven, Chopin.....to SCANDAL, Laruku, Green Day....even to Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation. And old stuff like Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who etc. But for some reason I can't stand RnB/Rap......

I have a wide range of music I listen to.
Initially I started off listening to classic rock and heavy metal, mainly ACDC, Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Guns & Roses, etc. I also had interests in mainstream bands such as Green Day, Chilli Peppers, Linkin Park and NickelBack (hate to say it >.<)
I still like listening to that type of music but nowadays I listening to J-Rock (SCANDAL, LM.C, Ayabie, Rookiez, etc), J-Pop (YUI, Miwa, K-on, etc) and K-Pop (Big Bang, SNSD). Also I listen to a lot of Vocaloid music (Deco, Yuyoyuppe, supercell, livetunes) and Nico Covers of Vocaloid songs.
Also I've always been in my school Stage Band, who play anything from jazz, blues, fusion, funk, classic rock, swing, and that's where I developed an interest in Jazz Music such as Take Five, and fusion music like Herbie Hancock.
And I've played piano for about 10 years (but seriously suck because I never practice) so I don't mind the Beethoven, Haydn, Liszt & Mozart music either.

For years I played bass in rock bands, but now I like anything from classical to rock.
I love J-Pop and I do like the girl bands !
The first time I saw the '5678' s in "Kill Bill" I was blown away !
But I even listen to 'C-ute' and 'Berryz' !

Classical, rock, pop, metal ... actually pretty much everything except rap or hip-hop. Oddly, however, I listen to A LOT of movie and video game soundtracks.

That's strange, rap and hip-hop is the only kind of music I dislike !
But I think that is because my son used to play it 24 hours a day !
I bought "Otoko tachi no Yamato" ( Men of the Yamato ) the movie
just because I really liked the soundtrack !
