reading this on twitter....i went and cried in a corner.....i'm so bummed but at the same token i'm happy and supporting Shiho, Nohana and Aimi to their futures and respect their decisions. i wish them luck and i hope to continue to hear from all three of them whether their together as Stereopony or not. GO STEREOPONY!!

Sad to see this happen to a fellow girl band. They were one of my favorites, too. I'm glad I got to see them live earlier this year. Good luck to Aimi, Nohana, and Shiho!

I was grief-struck while reading the news about Stereopony disbanding since they're my second favourite girls band. I wish them all good luck and may they find happiness in the paths they'll each take.

I just found out the news. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] It got me to hit stop on Queens Are Trumps and started playing Stereopony's discography. I guess AIMI's throat surgery was more serious than first reported. I hope she eventually recovers, but it's sad that Stereopony is disbanding. I was hoping to one day see a live SCANDALPony performance, but that dream seems so distant now. I wish you well NOHANA, SHIHO, and especially AIMI. Thank you girls for all the great performances! Because of the recent news we've decided to begin VGD's Stereopony Blog Archive Project which was originally scheduled for Summer 2013. Since Stereopony is disbanding, there's a chance that they might shut down all five of their blogs permanently, so we want to archive everything before it can happen. (It would be as if Stereopony never existed if all the blogs are deleted)

The project is being led by kuchiki teichou and any and all help would be appreciated. If you aren't a VGD member yet but would like to help, then just register an account.

Aww fam,I read the news today that Stepo's gonna disband soon,well not being a hardcore fan,I'm still feeling sad as Stereopony will always be one of my favourite girl band (Aside from SCANDAL), .waaa. Giving my two cents, I wish all the best for the members of Stereopony and even though they are gonna disband,their songs will forever live in our hearts as fans <3

Just got a chance to listen to their song. Their song are so awesome. I can't believe their disbanding. I feel their long loyal fans. .waaa.

i was really looking forward to see where they were heading in terms of their music...now i regret not going to see them when they stopped by here in the US not too long ago.

Found out about stereopony from Gundam 00, and loved them because of their song "Chiisana Mahou". So sad.

Well, I guess SCANDAL is my favourite band now. :D

Sad news.

Together with Scandal, Stereopony is one of the Japanes bands that I often listen to. From what I've read, only Aimi will leave the group, while Shiho and Nohana will be teaming up with Evan to form another band called Evanpony.

That's surprising.
Although I must say, I don't really care. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike them or anything, but I am not a fan at all, so it's kinda, meh.
I wonder though what the SCANDAL members think about this, considering they were pretty close.

SHIHO and NOHANA will be teaming up with Evan Taubenfeld and their band will be named "EVANPONY". I think they should really pick a new band name and drop everything in reference to Stereopony with their new band name it feels like they just replaced Aimi.

Also maybe a reason for their dissolution is their relatively low sales their last 5 single failed to reach 5K in the first week of sales...

Stereopony is a big loss for the girl band scene.... hope other aspiring girl bands will take their place

As much as I think that Evanpony will never get past the shadow of their old band, I still wish them good luck. I'll miss Aimi.

But Evan Taubenfeld was Avril Lavigne's lead guitarist, how did he get mixed up with Stereopony ?

^ I guess he and other American musicians noticed them during their last US tour.

i was quite shocked when i read this news through toykohive, after reading their reasons i guess, all good things come to an end either way, good luck to evanpony though, doesn't feel the same without ami anymore

after their short break SHIHO and NOHANA went abroad to study music... I guess that's the way they mixed up

I don't know the full details of how they arrive with their decision... but after their US tour I thought they would add their female support guitarist to the band. They look rejuvenated with her (forgot her name).

Also I think they should drop any reference to Stereopony as a sign of respect to Aimi, from my perspective with Evanpony it seems the two just repelaced Aimi with Evan, and not an actual disbandment

If Evan has replaced Aimi, does that mean he'll be the vocalist?
I thought initially he was only composing the song, with Aimi as the vocalist
But this seems to have changed with the fallout

I guess will see the clear picture as we hear the story from Aimi herself.
