1. Shichinin no samurai (Seven Samurai), from '54. An amazing black and white samurai movie by Akira Kurosawa. Probably his best known film.
Is about three hours long, but on a dreary, sad Sunday, I cuddle up with this movie, shut myself off from the rest of the world and just immerse in it. Afterwards, everything is awesome, because, Shichinin no samurai is awesome.
2. Fight Club, cliché, I suppose, but it's got an amazing attitude, that flick.
3. Ikiru, also by Akira, and not about samurai, at all, but still presents a similar theme. Very strong movie, quite emotional end, as well. One of this movies that stick.
