I'm currently looking for new manga to read and anime to watch..any recommendations? preferably comedy, like baka to test, or shounen, like Fate, FMA, Guilty crown, persona and HxH. mindf**king anime similar Gintama is fine too.

it would be helpful to know what anime you have watched. personally i like to go to myanimelist.net to list down all the anime i've watched so far. it's free, it lists down all your watched and watching anime in one single page. it also helps that people who see the list can kind of guess the type of anime you like (i sound like their advertiser)

as for comedy, you could try nichijou. i was laughing so loud every episode my mother thought i was crazy, but it may be too random for some people's liking. lucky star may also work, but you need to understand their references to other anime to really get it.

don't really know much about shounen anime though, sorry. i'm more into the slice of life types. and i dun read much manga as well, so cant help you with that.

Beelzebub, Fate Zero, Fate/stay night, Gintama, Hunter X Hunter(remake), Nurarihyon no Mago, Persona 4, The world God only knows, Full metal alchemist brotherhood, Kore wa zombie desu ka?, MM, Baka to test to shoujankuu, Chrome shelled regios, Ao no exorcist,Fortune arterial, Infinite Stratos, K-On, Ore no Imouto, Yumekui merry, soul eater and kuroshitsuji.
