Well, I have heard a song of Baby Metal a long time ago, but I found the mix they tried to make failed. Just pasting a metal part after a pop part is not what I call 'mix genres'. I did not really merge at all... As I listen to the video above, that mixing problem is not the case anymore, though. It is actually some sort of power metal song with three girls singing. It is better, but I am certainly not really amazed by their voices... And I dislike the attitude that is behind this music. Seriously, if you like that "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" song, you certainly have to look up Faylan. She is a much more versatile vocalist, and she matches better with her music. =)

I think you are taking BABYMETAL too seriously.
The idea was to mix two things that Japanese boys love, schoolgirls and metal !
But the PV for "No more bullying" is bad as it takes it's self too seriously.
It is supposed to be fun.

I just noticed Megitsune was not posted here before. My first song from them and it got me hooked. Still my favourite.
Ohh and they performed at Budokan for two days, yesterday and today. They're the youngest to ever perform there. The stage setting is different from when Scandal performed there. Its like an *almost* 360° stage.

They set up fences on the second to the outer part of the stage because Yui fell off from the stage to the ground (above picture) but she came back on the next song. Moa also slipped while performing and immediately got back up but some fans say she had a painful expression on her face.

Wow. Must be a total coincidence but I just saw that video alrick posted on my facebook newsfeed.
It was odd because my friends that were posting it are usually metalcore fans lol. They would know pretty much nothing of j-music in general.
Babymetal is definitely something I never thought would exist. Oh Japan, I am impressed.

International PerformerI am a big Sakura Gakuin fan and Babymetal are one of their sub units, I loved the idea of mixing Japanese schoolgirls with metal but thought the novelty would soon wear off but I was wrong !
I just heard "Gimme choko" from their new album and I really like it.
Moa and Yui are almost as tall as Su now and I am glad they get much more chance to sing on this album and not just Su.
I am not sure if an adult Babymetal would work, in Sakura Gakuin they have to graduate at 15 as it is only for High school girls, Su is 16 now but was allowed to remain in Babymetal.

Indie ArtistYay another Sakura Gakuin fan! .clap. I'm a really big fan of them too. At first I thought their music sounded a little too innocent for me but after watching a few videos, they got me.
Babymetal announced that they are going to perform in Europe yesterday at Budokan although I do not have any details yet. I was really shocked to hear this because they just had their first one-man live in Singapore at the end of December last year and now Europe? That's really fast.

there was a big gap between the stage and the crowd right ? (as I can see on the pic). But at least, it's understandable : cameras + pyros
I'm really a newbie about BabyMetal but I've started to listen to their songs. I like the heavy sound (the drums wow !) mixed with their voices.

International PerformerYes I would really like to see them but it is one of those weekend festivals where you have to camp in the mud and the cheapest ticket is £215 !
I was hoping they would do a concert on their own.

I think the same for japanese band who come to France and perform at the Japan Expo. I don't go to the expo because I'm not a manga fan and you can't go there only for the concerts (you need to wait with everybody who wants to enter into the expo). That's why like you, I would prefer a concert on their own. Or maybe when I will go to Japan, it will be cool.
