That's a lyric from the song "Aitai" (laughs). As a postscript, when I stand on stage I want to be the hero inside myself. There is usually a feeling of being rather distanced when I see myself on stage. I think this sensation is wonderful, and I want to be more like the me that is yearned for.

Popira is a game which requires fast reflexes that was popular when I was in primary school. I was unreasonably good at this game which involved pressing buttons to fit together music and dropping balls. I couldn't do any other games but with Popira only, I had god-like level (laughs).

Now, looking at it, everything is an embarrassing clump. The song itself even now is still cool, but it's horrible; we really were not aware of the camera movement at all. Anyway, I'd want to teach them how to swing their heads (laughs)
Q20. Conversely, who do you not want to meet the most? Please tell us why.A tengu (goblin). Because the first time I met one I was really nervous.
Whether it's inspiration or not I don't know, but you can meet youkai (monsters). I met a tengu once during a pre-school summer holiday. My favorite thing was playing on my own in a vinyl pool. That day, as I prepared my swimwear and went out of the front door, there was a tengu in front of the pool. Unreasonably red, it was carrying a stick with a bell attached, and it wore a skirt and geta (wooden clogs). It was staring at me. Thinking that it was rather dangerous, I called out for my mother, but then it wasn't there anymore... And also, while playing with a ball in the drawing room, I saw an unreasonably large foot and a bee that was almost as big as me!

Anyway, I'm troublesome (laughs). Since I was little, once I'd decided to do something, that was absolutely what I did, but I'd inevitably hit a wall each time. So I got angry with myself, shouting and crying. I would sulk. In the end, by carrying on and not giving up I got over that wall, but to do that I have tried hard to eliminate the sulky scenes (laughs). Because to keep going you need a bit of patience, I think.

I originally watched it because this drama was on TV the year I was born but I totally love it. I thought, "I want to be Rika Akana!" I especially love the scene in the park, where Rika meets Kanji again after breaking up. Rika says 「もう、ほかの誰かじゃイヤだからね」 ("I don't want anyone else"). I think I'd like to say a similar line someday (laughs).

During our indies period in Osaka, after studio practice had finished, it became a daily routine to take a stroll with MAMI. HARUNA and TOMOMI would stay at home, having girl talk and watching DVDs, but mornings and evenings we walked around. The course was generally decided, but one day, daringly, we walked what seemed a much greater distance that usual. Talking about bands, memorizing guitar terminology etc., talking about music all the while. Anyway, we kept on walking for about three stops and then came back by train, but I haven't forgotten the scenes I saw that time. I think that was the first moment my mother didn't decide something; I myself made the decision of what I would do.

I'd prefer a non-love story movie. I've always really liked love stories, but lately I haven't had any interest in them at all. I like fantasy and sci-fi-based love stories, and movies with car action and the like; my tastes might have gotten a little guy-ish. I like romantic stuff, but it kind of feels that a little bit of poison has been put into them (laughs).
Q69. Say you had a lover. What kind of situation would you feel the most jealous in?The moment they're talking happily with an attractive person that I don't know.

Inside of the building of our practice studio, next to the "SCANDAL" store, there was one called "Peach Club." It was one of the contenders for our name. Going to the studio, there'd often be Peach Club business cards that had fallen in the middle of the stairs. I saw in the first three that there were handwritten comments. I thought it was awesome.
