Missing the Shunkan era, Mami looked so good and having so much fun, not saying she doesnt now, but it was just better for me by then.

@Topic: I miss their low-profile live house performances, coz i want to be there when they were just starting, when they still shake hands and "high five" their fans and Rina throws her sticks to the crowd.
I miss their garage sound hope they'll make more music similar to Koi Moyou, Kagerou, Ring!Ring!Ring!
and Scandal baby these days

BannedI agree with Raizer, though. It's important that they stick to their roots. (EDIT: in other words as long as they make a classic SCANDAL rock song at least once in a while I'll be happy)
But even more important is that they sing the stuff they want to sing. Pride is different from Koi Moyo but I love both of them, so that's a good sign.

Indie ArtistWaah, such a nostalgic topic ;D
Miss their raw and more rockish sound (with less electronic effects and more overdrive/dist). But not only sound. I also mean the whole format of their songs.
Miss their high-school-girl style.
Miss their casualness.

well, its not that i'm saying that their current songs is not as good as before, I still liked the songs in Pride, particularly Emotion, its just that there is something in the way they play that I really miss, I dont know what it is but there is something.... hmmm
Maybe they're just exploring new sounds, I dont know, how would I know? .wew.
I still miss the way they interact with the crowd....

BannedWell, as far as the sound is concerned, I think aside from the obvious "pop/rock" sound which is now a bit more "pop/rock", they used to be able to just plug their instruments and play. Now they really need some recording of the other sounds (good examples are Haruka and CUTE!) which, in itself, changes how those songs play out. And when they play them live they can't alter the rhythm. I don't really mind, but I wish they still did some of the older-style songs at least once in a while.
As for interacting with the crowd, they can still do it quite a lot. They just can't high-five them anymore, which in some ways might be the safer way to go.

BannedYes, indeed. Also interesting is that the members are now starting to compose their own music.

Indie ArtistYes. It shows us, that they are still that "most-powerfull...". But since they are majors now, label limits them.

I also miss Haru-chan's higher voice. Listening to their recent performances, it really sounds like her voice has dropped and can't quite hit some of the notes on the older songs anymore.
Lastly, I miss the messiness and rock in their live shows. Not sure how their recent concerts are like, but their TV / festival performances don't seem nearly as energetic as their two Live DVDs. They're fairly clean, and don't seem to let loose as much. I guess we'll see which band shows up at AM2Con.

BannedThat's to be expected from television appearances, however. And they don't have nearly as much time during festivals. They do move around a bit, though. Tomomi runs around during Ontama Carnival 2011; so much that she nearly misses her cue during Everybody Say Yeah!! So I can't agree with you on that.
As for Haru, she's always had a low voice. Her having difficulty hitting high notes isn't new, either. The only "bad" thing I can say about the band is that this is something she has to work on.
EDIT: Just finished watching "Everybody Say Yeah!!" DVD a minute ago. Now that's what I call a perfect Haruna voice.

That's true, that concert was last year. I guess it really is the limitation of TV sets. That, and they're usually just playing one single with not much time (if any) to warm up. Curious to see how Haruka sounds in a concert setting.
Back on topic, I miss Mami's ponytail .

That's very sad.
Personally I like bigger shows. It usually means the sound is better, also more roar from the audience.
Exposed to media also means we see more of them. Can't see that as a bad thing, myself.

Mainstream ArtistIMHO the Zepp shows are a really good size. It's big enough that the sound is excellent, but small enough that everyone can feel close to the stage and the stage isn't so big that the members are far away from each-other.
