I just ran into this video on youtube while watching AKBingo, but have you guys heard GILLE's English cover of AKB48's "Flying Get"? It's on her cover album which includes songs from other Japanese bands as well as Bruno Mars and Adele.

Its a very interesting cover.

Most sad for me is that Aki will be part of JKT, so what's with French Kiss? Same in DiVa and Sae.
Team B looks really interesting - Miichan (my 1st oshi), Milky (my NMB oshi), Yukirin (from FK), Paruru (fav from team4), Miori, Wasamin, Harunyan, lol a lot of girls which i like.

So poor Aki Takajo and Haruna Nakagawa are being 'deported' to JKT48 while Sae Miyazawa
and Mariya Suzuki are being sent to SNH48, a team that does not even exist yet !

So the farewell concert will be for 5 girls, not just Acchan !

Yeah, this shuffle feels really weird, Akimoto must be taking the opportunity to change stuff now that Acchan leaves.

I mean for me it seems weird that Takajo for instance would want to go to Indonesia? Some people at other forums claim she has gone out and said she wants to, but why would you leave your fans and a somewhat secure situation in AKB to go to Jakarta?

Not saying Indonesia is a bad place to be in, but it's far from her fanbase and reputation that she has build up in Japan.

I really hope these people know what they are doing.

Hmm...I how things will work out. Will the overseas transfers have to commute by plane to Japan and back?
Apparently it said on G+ that they decided to transfer on their own. Maybe they wanted to try something new or start over on a clean slate. Anyway, I will still be supporting them. Also, I bet communication will be tough.
Also, all these other girls who are concurrent with SKE and NMB will be interesting.

This year for AKB is pretty crazy - Acchan's graduating, Sasshi was put in HKT, and now people are being transferred overseas.

They will not be commuting, they have been banished there !

@tonymiller: Yeah, because how could they really commute when they have to be there for practicing, bonding/getting to know each other, performances and everything else?

Those sound like dark stories indeed. But I just don't see how you would volunteer for such a deal.

What I had in mind was kinda similar to studying abroad or something like being a foreign exchange student, and you would just stay in the foreign country for a while, and then be able to go back home for short periods of time every few months....but I guess its not like that...

It was just live-streamed on their official youtube channel. It ended a few minutes ago.

It was really sad to see the senbatsu members say goodbye to Maeda, I almost teared up and I'm not even close to being her biggest fan. It's true that Aki didn't want to go to Indonesia as she said. Information about that she like this idea is from management. AkiP discussed about it with her. It's the same like then when Yukosu and HKT girls graduation (a few days ago), it's nothing personal, she just must do this because scandal.

The latest story I heard from Tokyo is that Acchan only graduated from AKB so she can join
Nogizaka46, AKB' s official rivals who were also founded and managed by Yasushi Akimoto.
He wants her to make them as popular as AKB !

I really hope this is not true, I wanted her to be free and have a solo career and boyfriends,
not spend the next 7 years making Nogizaka46 popular !

I haven't watched the graduation yet, but I already miss Acchan. I'm gonna miss Akicha and Sae too.

I was really into K-Pop than J-Pop so i don't know them that much.

I listened to "Heavy Rotation" yesterday, it's very catchy and makes you feel good when you listen to it. I think I'm starting to like this group.

For a few weeks, I've been trying to figure out what was different about Mayuyu, and I just figured it out! Her hair is different. Man, I feel dumb lol.

@Goldenarms - It really helps to get to know the girls by watching variety shows and dramas that AKB48 members are in. Check out AKBingo, Bimyo~, and Majisuka Gakuen. There are many other things that these girls are involved in, but I think those three are a pretty good start. I think the more you get to know about each member, the more interesting AKB becomes, and the more you start liking them....well, that was my case anyway.

I see you like Harunyan. If you haven't already check it out, try listening to no3b, or watch Ariyoshi AKB.

I have watched a few episodes of "Majisuka Gakuen" before but I haven't finish the whole series. I tried watching AKBingo yesterday and I enjoyed it. I'm currently watching Kojiharu's new series "Megu-tan tte Mahou Tsukaeruno" but it's still raw but it's okay, I just wanted to see her even if it's just on the tv screen. ehehehehe

Yes, I already checked out their sub unit no3b and DL'ed some of their singles and album. I really like their song "Relax", it just brightens up my day everytime i hear it.

I have been a huge AKB fan since 2005 when there was only Team A.
It can be daunting at first to remember all those girls but like Yoshi says just get to know a few at a time.
There were only 16 at first so it was easier then !

There is not really a main vocalist, Yasushi Akimoto ( their Boss ) even admitted some of the girls
cannot sing or dance very well, but with 62 girls you do not notice !
Many of the girls have done songs on their own like Mayuyu ( Mayu Watanabe ) and Yukirin
( Yuki Kashiwagi ), you will soon find your own favourites, my oshi was Acchan until she left and
now it is Miichan ( Minami Minegishi )

@Goldenarms: If you want to watch another drama starring Kojima, you could watch Mendol. It's also been subbed if you don't know japanese. Minegishi and Takamina are also in that one. Personally didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did Majisuka, but Kojima isn't in that show too much.

My newly found favorite is Kizaki Yuria. She is in SKE though.

My top 3 are Miichan, Akicha (now in JKT) and Sasshi (now in HKT). I also like Takamina, Yuko, Paruru, Mocchi, Yukirin, Mayuyu, Amina, from SKE Matsui 'sisters', from NMB Milky, Sayanee and Rina and from HKT all girls : ) Especially Natsu, Haruppi, Sakura, Anna and Chiyori ^^ HKT is my favorite band from 48 family.
