Wow Perfume! I knew them because of SCANDAL (when they taught SCANDAL their dance steps) and I kind of took a liking to them. The first techno girl group I liked to be honest. Hehehe.

Lieann, yeah, pretty much, even though it states that it is an "Asian" Music awards show, it is completely dominated by kpop artists. Also, the MCs speak in Hangul as well.
I am just happy Perfume got a positive response from the viewers and we able to get publicity through the show.

Oh and Haruna, just so you know, they performed a "Nee" and "Chocolate Disco" medley, where they go from one song to the other in a smooth transition, as if it were one song.

No... AKB48: 48 members in 3 teams, plus all the team research members, and former members who graduated.

Perfume, a group of 3, together in it's current composition since 2001.

Perfume also has a unique electro pop style that no one else does quite like them, certainly not AKB48.

Nothing against AKB48, but about the only thing they have in common with Perfume is that they are Japanese girls who sing.

No sir, the closest they were to AKB was in their indies era, where they really had to maintain that "idol" look and image.

When they turned 20, around the time of Polyrhythm, GAME and Love the World, that is when they started to break the "idol" look and image. They became more respected as artists.

But what onyx said about the members is correct, AKB has a different line-up after time, while Perfume's line-up has been consistent throughout their musical career
