Apparently, Utada Hikaru has just had a baby boy. Simultaneously, she's announced she is working on a new album

Double awesome. Utada is the first Japanese singer that I discovered and liked almost 10 years ago, and she was the only Japanese artist I really liked until I discovered Scandal. I've been jonesing for a new Utada album full of her amazing ballads for like five years now since her last release.

I'm curious to know if anyone else is as interested in this news as am I....

I have all of Hikki's released albums & DVDs. Utada Hikaru and Hitomi are the only Japanese singers that I really liked back in the 90's. Now they are both mothers.
What a coincidence, all of my favourite voices from Japan with an initial "H" - Hikaru, Hitomi, Haruna &
Horizon (ESP guitar) haha!

A while ago I read a rumor about her writing a song for Evangelion 3.0+1.0(if it's ever going to be finished...) and I thought that the best we could expect was just a one-off single.. but a full length album?! wow,I couldn't be happier

Yes, she already wrote and released a song for that. There's a short version on her official youtube channel.

Oh, BTW I noticed you're from Italy. Were you aware that Utada's husband is a former bartender from Italy that she met while on vacation there?

"Evangelion 3.0+1.0" is the name of the fourth one, that is yet to be released,sorry that it was not clear

Ahhh, sorry. I didn't realize there was even another Evangelion in the works.

I kind of hope that Utada's new album is coinciding with Kingdom Hearts 3 sufficiently that it means that Utada will be doing the music for the game, too. :D
