I heard Scandal for the first time in 2011 when I watched some live recordings on Youtube. I was impressed but not amazed. I'm 54 and was there, although very young, when Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin etc where at their best and I was amazed. I'm still a huge Deep Purple fan and I'm not easily impressed, and haven't been amazed for decades.

I still remember that moment in 2014 when I was bored and thougt, let's check for some recent Scandal music. I found the music video for Departure. I was amazed, for the first time in decades. Can you imagine the feelings that went through me?

To me, Scandal is one of the best bands ever and after following them for some years now seeing what they have accomplished I am proud to say I,m a Scandal fan.

Welcome to the party.  I absolutely know what you are talking about.  I am closing in on 50 myself, and as a life-long guitarist I am somewhat of a rock snob (I love Blackmore, btw).  When I randomly discovered Scandal four years ago on You Tube I was blown away at what I discovered.  There was something magical in their sound and their overall package that I hadn't experienced in years.  They literally make me feel like a 10 year old again when I first discovered Zeppelin and The Who, and all those other great bands.

If you haven't picked up their CDs and/or concert DVDs yet, I highly recommend it.  Also there's lots of great content on this site to dig up when you got the time.  Enjoy.

I love all those old Bands you mention but also many Japanese ones and Japanese idols, but we wont go into that here
