I fully admit that I am late to the party.

While I listened to some Japanese bands years ago (Shonen Knife for example), I never got really into it. Last year was a break-through in that regard. Among the bands I discovered (some anew) were SCANDAL. Now I am well on my way to get their whole discography into my possession... just today I finally got a copy of their first CD :D

Getting their CDs in Germany is getting easier a bit these days (have to get them from Japanese sellers most of the time though, but thanks for the Internet, eh?). I wish they would play again here soon.

My favorite is MAMI. She has a wild spirit, I think. Not dissing the others though. RINAs way into becoming a very competent drummer is amazing. As is TOMOMIs bass playing, but eh.. MAMI it is (for now, maybe, heh).

I love all of them as well of course but Tomomi the most as I am a bass player too and I love her personality.

I started as a Japanese idol fan but now I like many Japanese Bands but SCANDAL the most.

Ah... tough question.
If I already have good MP3s of the album, I leave the CD sealed, but if I have to rip it myself... the wrapper comes off. I don't collect them as "mint" condition, I want to listen to them  [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Some people charge (or try to at least) serious money for "Yah! Yah!" - that surprised me a bit. But I guess there are only roughly 2000+ units in circulation?

Congratulations on getting hold of Yah! Yah! Yah!, but I think you'll find that it's not the first SCANDAL CD. On March 3rd 2008 they released Space Ranger on the Kitty label, followed by 2 more at monthly intervals, Koi Moyo & Kageru. I forget when precisely Yah! Yah! Yah! was released but it was just before they signed to Sony in September 2008. As you rightly say all CDs on Kitty were restricted to 2000 copies. Now copies of the first three WILL cost you an arm & a leg & I can somewhat smugly confirm that I have all three.

Good luck with catching up - there's one heck of a lot to catch up on.

Oh yeah, I don't think I'll even try for one of the three first singles. I'm fine with the first EP and the subsequent albums for now. Unless I win the lottery or something...

I'm one of the guys here who actually open CDs and DVDs of my favorite arists (inclduing SCANDAL, of course!) for listening and viewing pleasure. For me, the quality of the original copies are far superior that ripped copies.

Hello! I only have two albums so far, and even though I don't have how to listen to them (didn't get a CD drive when building my PC because I thought I wouldn't get into CDs anymore lol, and the new family car doesn't even have a CD port too), I opened them just so I can see the booklet and CD art (turns out both Honey and Best Album are just plain CDs lol). I hope I can increase my collection soon!
