I don't think Scandal's songs will have any problem except maybe Freedom Fighters

Manila this Sunday. And Taipeh is their last Asia tour date.

Not that I am complaining or anything, but isn't it more, I dunno, logical if they went to Taipei first before going to Manila? Geographically and linguistically speaking, Taiwan is nearer to the locality of their previous shows as compared to Manila (and Philippines as a whole).

That would make sense IF the shows were back-to-back or a few days apart, but in actuality, the show in Taipei (6/30) is almost a whole week after the Manila one (6/24) so it really doesn't matter which order they're in in this case lol

SCANDAL ASIA TOUR 2018 "HONEY" IN MANILA at SMX Convention Center」

SCANDAL in Manila was amaaaaaaazing! Thankfully I took TGE's advice and got ear plugs before hand since I got a spot right in front of the speakers on MAMI's side.

Since the venue was on the 2nd floor, we managed to shake the floor with all the jumping for SCANDAL BABY. Felt a bit like an earthquake honestly, and you could see how surprised the girls were. MAMI kept looking to the side since she was right beside the framing for the speakers, which were also shaking. HARUNA was laughing. Not sure how it was on TOMOMI's side, but a friend said she was more concentrated on her playing and swaying/dancing.

It was so fun, didn't even notice that 2 hours already went by. When they played Koisuru Universe, my first thought was along the lines of "WHAT IT'S THE END ALREADY?!"

It was awesome! 10 years of waiting, 4 months of getting hyped! Everything is worth it, I am even willing to pay more for emperor's pass but sadly didn't get a shot for it. But hey, VIP isn't so bad either. I was able to score a spot on the center of the railings and stage was like 10-15 steps away. Wow, I never expected to have such privilege.

They perform really clean and confident. I have always known this but I'll say it again "they're really good!". You can't help but to jam although I kinda felt awkward when I realized that I seemed to be the only who does metal head dance moves, everyone's cheerings are idoly and I really didn't know how to use light sticks lol.

What a day! I had so much fun. They are awesome! The setlist was nice. The MC part was funny. My only complaint was the sound system and the flooring of the function room. The kickdrum was too loud. It was ear shattering at least on my position which was in Tomomi side! The flooring was shaking which is kind of scary at first. 

I'm exhausted and my body is still aching but I have no choice but to go to work today. Please come back here in Manila Scandal! 

I also love the unofficial fifth member of Scandal - Staff-chan!! So Kawai!

Watched the concert last night, and once again the band is awesome performing live. You can see that the members love it when the crowd is singing their songs and somehow Haru gave a few lines to the crowd to sing. Mami twice lost her breath in Oh No but its okay. 

But equally important is how disciplined the fans are. Honestly, that was I believe the most important. The organizers mentioned in their post that 5pm gates will be opened but in reality they were opened around 6:20 pm. Show started at around 10 mins past 7pm.

There were minimal breaking of lines which is good and most followed the queing numbers going inside the venue.

And most of all there were almost none who took pictures and videos during the show. As for the others who did manage to sneak the marshalls quickly ordered them to delete the pictures they have taken.

Really a great night indeed

Yeah me too. I haven't been in a Rock concert in a while. I feel like Yoshiki, I could really use a neck brace right now.

Best live concert I've attended ever! (I've been to incubus, korn, paramore etc). 2 hours went by like it was 5 mins lol. The crowd was wild, jumping and singing for the whole concert. Haruna even have to signal keep quiet a couple of times for her to be able to do her part in Mado wo Aketara and Sisters. The whole venue was shaking like there was an earthquake and we're on the 2nd floor! I got nervous the first time i noticed it since the floor might collapse lol but after a while just got used to it. I hope we made the band Happy with our enthusiasm and energy and that this will make them come back again. It was a dream come true!

That boom panes segment surprised me. The whole crowd was surprised, laughed and sang to it. It was so much fun!

Safe to say that I think EVERYONE was surprised by the "BOOM PANES" segment in the MC. Gotta wonder how Haruna learned of it in the first place. It made everyone laugh and people had fun chanting either way.

For everyone else's information, "BOOM PANES" is a song (can it really be called a song) from 2014 by a famous/infamous local celebrity/comedian. The term itself was used even earlier mostly in online gaming. It's slang for something along the lines of "rekt" or "owned" The surprise of Haruna knowing that of all things is mostly because it's mostly used by what we call the "jeje" or "jologs" crowd.

Maybe they asked and researched from the locals on what's trending. I think it's fine because it could be worse. If they did a thorough research on what's really highly trending on our country right now, they might end up singing "Kalimutan mo na yan, sige sige maglibang"  .fustrated.

It was the best night of my life.  Really.  .dies.  .dies.

I just wanna add one of the highlights before the concert. Everyone were so excited and at the same time getting anxious and impatient that the girls haven't come out on stage on such a long period of time.

Various songs from other artists are being played in the background (part of sound checking maybe) and one of the songs played was "Top of the word" (Popularized by The Carpenters). At the chorus part, everyone mindlessly sang along with it and wave their light sticks and towels enthusiastically as if the concert is already happening, the staffs even jumped in to the fun and turned up the volume!

Everything that happened last night is just starting to sink in to me now. It was crazy! No wonder Haru said we're nuts!

Filipinos are known for being "malakas ang trip" which translates to being severely affected by an intoxicating or mind-altering substance and that substance is SCANDAL. Yes, we were high on SCANDAL and trippin really good.

@TwistedBaspin, yay thank you for the energy and effort guys! Honestly, I know you're gonna be fun. I was only worried because sometimes our "malakas ang trip" mentality just crosses the red line.

Yet you did great! I can feel it! I know that they will return! And that is partly because of you being nuts! Haha. Next time they come, I will certainly earn and save financially so that I'll also experience the SCANDAL fever close and upfront!

The whole show was one big highlight, really. Haha. Instead of singing along to just certain parts, people were singing along to everything they knew! It even felt like it was the audience singing all of Shunkan Sentimental. Lol. There were 2 most notable audience singing parts for me that night:
1. During Short Short, since it was a mellow song, people didn't really sing much of it except that line that went "domo arigato" people pretty much screamed it, and HARU just smiled. It was basically a thank you directed at the band.
2. People singing the first 2 "baby you touch my heart" lines and having HARU shhh us so she could have her moment.

Really appreciate how they tried to do a lot of their MC in English. The last bit during the intro of Sisters, HARUNA said something along the lines of "Thank you for all the support. We are far away, but close to you."
