Had my first really good listen to Midnight City and the citypop-ish bass line is DOPE

No joy in the UK as of yet.



I estimate it won't top the iTunes chart even in world music in the UK tomorrow (unless a miracle happens), but it'll defo be high up there in European countries like France, where there is greater interest in J-music.

I don't have an i-Tunes account so just waiting for my Honey to be delivered. Still hoping they'd release it on Spotify.

JPU Records said that HONEY will be available in european countries only from the 14th, so it's not a surprise it's not up yet ahah. We'll need to wait a little bit more.

I do wonder if the album will go up on spotify straight away

The music video of Platform Syndrome is #16 trending on Japan's Youtube. Makes me happy  .clap. .happy.

Amazon.com has the US release set for March 9 with pre-order available now.

The pre-sale information says "will include an exclusive additional booklet featuring English lyric translations and transliterations."

They have no listing for the CD+DVD version as of yet.

That’s because the CD being sold on Amazon US is an import of the European release by JPU Records - which only comes in two formats - regular and a limited edition T-shirt bundle (this bundle can only be bought from JPU on their online shop).

Having listened to it a few times now I really really like how this turned out. Its up there with Best SCANDAL for me now. And like BEST SCANDAL theres one song thats not really clicking with me (which was Yumemiru Tsubasa) and its Midnight City. The one two of punch of Short Short and Mado wo Aketara right after it is real potent though. 

Hearing Tomomi doing back up (which is happenening less and less recently) on her song and thingking about where she was two years ago on her slump when she wrote the song really hits me hard.

 I cant wait till I get the phisical copy of the CD.

Specially with Short Short, Over and Mado wo Aketara


Short Short, sounds so nostalgic for me, so sweet and fresh. I think many people will dislike Haruna's high pitch on this one, but I'm in love with it


Mado wo Aketara is has a different style from previous songs. Tomomi did a great job in this song


Over is rockish and it has that familiar SCANDAL sound, so good


They did a great job overall on this album, one of my favorites

May sound silly but it's nice to be able to hear it all in order and in full length.
Almost every song would stand out in another album. It's really good
The only one that I didn't like much is Oh! No!, Mami's voice fit well with the punkish vibe of the song and the instrumental is great but it's a little too long IMO, gets a little tiresome after some time. Of course, I haven't listened to it that much so my opinion may change...

At the moment Mado wo Aketara is stuck in my head, I wasn't expecting something like that from Scandal, such a nice mood.

Controlling their own arrangement really does wonders—brought the drums up—the overall sound is more alive than ever. This work is so beautiful, frankly it made me cry

I don't know if I'm ready to hear OVER/Electric Girl without the SUPER EDITION at the end
I've heard 12 times each song (radio ripped, I'm poor) and got used to it

PS. honey is number 1 in both Argentina and Brazil (category J-POP)
And overall number 1 in Peru, that was a surprise, didn't know they were that known there   

Bought and listened to the album on iTunes.

listened to it about 3xinfinity times.....this album is everything!   

Will give my full opinion when i read the lyrics to the songs, i'm really looking forward to knowing what the songs are about. Yellow songs were mostly in English so I kinda knew what they were about just by listening lol.

I bought the album yesterday, relatively surprised it was available prior to official release date internationally. I must say I'm pretty impressed and loving this kicking album. Their live shows and summer festivals this year will pumping like crazy. Honey delivers one powerful number after another. I think Mami should form her own punk rockabilly band after listening to Oh! No!

Completely agree. Meanwhile, I think Midnight City could have been a bit longer. 3:05 is too short for such a good tune.

I won't say I don't like a particular song, instead, I'll just say that Over and Electric Girl are my favorite.
