I love grunge bands like Nirvana and Alice and Chains, so I'm really looking forward to "Heaven na Kibun".

I'm also glad that we got to hear more of the english verison of "Your Song" in the 2nd pizza party video. I was able to make out some of the english words this time, and it sounded better than the amazon preview we previously got.

1 week, (or so…) first ever music preorder. For me, that first track is gonna rock. The rest is gonna be a ride to experience as I've tried not to get too involved with the previews too much.

Just wondering, how are you able to view the playlist? I can't get it to work on my computer. When I click the link it just tells me to download iTunes.

Either try to open it in an another browser (not Chrome) or go to a random app's page (example) and choose the grey "I have iTunes" icon (you may need to delete your browsing history to see that, though) and then try to open the playlist again

Haha, so it was true, .clap. Im guessing that's the playlist of inspiration for Yellow since they have reggae, and grunge rock.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, just look at the Hello World t shirt and listen to the album...yeah(0-0)
So if they make a very cutest girly t shirt for their next album, expect a hard core album.

Yeah, that is definitely similar, that band is from the 80's so i guess they were influenced by that bands design.....much like their influenced from KISS in their last album  t shirt design-

Scandal is just full of influences.

Well, we've been over this, but it's quite reminiscent of one of Weezer's most popular (and mainstream pop) songs, "Beverly Hills". That song hit #2 on the pop charts, so it's pretty much the definition of a pop song. Scandal themselves said they were going for a west coast USA sound, which is where Weezer's from, so it all fits.

And the b-sides aren't on the album, so they don't count towards my evaluation of it. If things had been reversed and the b-sides were the a-sides and were also on the album, then I'd be saying something different. I'd have loved it if those songs were on the album, rather than something only their most hardcore fans who buy all their singles would get to hear.

But we'll see what the album's actually like. I've learned to give them the benefit of the doubt. So far I can only judge based on what I've heard, though.

Whoa, kinda morbid a bit,  especially since the image reminds me of when people put out and light candles on memorials in cemeteries for the passed....i think that's what they were going for. Still love the song and the message.

I also find it interesting that the track right before this "Happy Birthday " talks about celebrating the anniversary of (your) beginning of life,  and then Chiisana Honoo comes in saying we may die, but appreciate and carry on that life before it ends, even if things don't go our way.

Well Space Cadet, I don't know if you're using the term 'pop song' in a negative connotation. If you want to say that a song that charts high is a pop song, Elvis Presley and the Beatles also have plenty of pop songs. I don't consider either of those artists as pop stars in the same way I look at justin bieber or britney spears.
I think that Rivers Cuomo, the main songwriter of Weezer has a great gift of melody and Beverly Hills has a catchy riff, but that doesn't mean I would consider it a pop song like I consider Hit Me Baby One More Time a pop song.
Anyway, I love 'Stamp!' and two things that are great about it are the groove that Tomomi and Rina set(it's the bedrock of that song) and Haruna's confident, self-assured vocals.  Her delivery is strong and serpentine and she goes to some new places vocally IMHO.
That said, I stated earlier that I want to hear some harder stuff too, as I think they've only scratched the surface of that sound in Standard.

Stamp fits the description of a pop song, theres no doubt about it.

When rock was just getting pop-ular, long long ago, drawing a sharp line between rock and everything else seemed like a big deal, a generation-gap thing i guess. But now "I don't worry anymore" about that, and it feels fine. Now watch them perform Stamp! at Countdown Japan—

Sadly, Mami's guitar didn't sound very good at the beginning, but they got it fixed a little ways in.
