I have heard just 3 tracks off Yellow ..I think.
Each has its own special thing.
I must admit I was initially worried when i I heard they were going to write AND produce all the material on the next album, a hard and dangerous path for ANY artist or group.

But, Mami has come up with some wacko killer gtr sounds , chunky riffing, melodies, and the arrangement are really interesting and not too predictable. The whole band is firing and Rina's style coming to the forefront. I hope she writes and sings another like her last effort.

Yet again, these four little girls from Osaka have just BLOWN - ME- AWAY !!!!! .clap.

Agreed! I feel so proud of seeing them make this album their own in every aspect. ^^  They have matured so much as musicians and human beings. :D Can't wait to hear the whole album! HYYYYYYPE!

I've only heard Suki-Suki, but its pretty solid.

By produce, do you mean the girls are recording and mixing/mastering it themselves? If so, I'm impressed.

Well maybe they would be present at the mix and have some say, but it's an intense technical job, def not mastering , thats highly specialised process that is still a mystry to most of us musicians , but they could well still  have to okay the mastering result. 
Sometimes it can make the the whole thing too compressed and polite.
But yeah , so proud of them , especially now they have started producing and arranging/playing on other artists material. Wow!

With all 5 songs we're heard so far I think we can safely say that this will be their best sounding album to date. The sound is clear and powerful, not brickwalled to death like some of their earlier stuff, and really complements the songs. I especially liked "Morning Sun" in that respect.

Having heard the samples for all of the songs, I'm looking forward to how much more the girls can grow from here on out. Completely doing all of the writing AND producing is a big step for any artist, and I'm glad SCANDAL is heading in that direction.  I've heard countless times online, from overseas fans and Japan fans that they'd prefer their older style over the newer songs. While I agree that SCANDAL's older catalogue had more mainstream appeal, I have to say that I rather like how they've been experimenting with different sounds recently.

I am feeling the same, I am quite happy that they are evolving and trying different things! I am delighted to see that Rina's drums compo are getting better and better everytime, it is more varied, we can hear it more lately especially on Sisters and Love me Do!

Having free reign is great for them as it will reflect their true talent as musicians. This is how they are supposed to sound like when no other people stick their noses. Some of their songs in the past sounded overproduced for me.

I just wish they make a studio version of Ashita no ashita. .common.

I can't wait for the album now and really feel proud of them. But I just want Tomo and Haru write more musics like before (maybe the other songs in yellow are wriiten by them, maybe) .shy.

Yeah, just listen to some of their first attempts of composition in 2011, Emotion, Want you, Hikare, and Very Special, those songs back then had a different kind of sound than what they were producing that time.

And yes, they should make Ashita no Ashita a real song already, i still have hope they'll do. .wow. like with Playboy.

Thank you. This make me feel abit worry about Haru since the last song she wrote is a year ago. For me, Runners high is a very meaningful song. Hope she is fine

Encore Show's tracklist is great! Hikare and Emotion are one of my favorites. I like to hear them sound like those songs again.  .please.
