This feels like a nice chill track. I do think it sounds more western, but it's a nice change of pace, especially for the summer. I can see myself just resting on the beach with this song. Can't wait to see all those Hello World tour songs again with them dvd's.

I think Haruna's latest blog entry makes it clear that "Stamp!" was created to reflect the tour's atmosphere (could it be that it was actually recorded when they were in the US?) and doesn't necessarily represent a new direction for their music. Anyway, we'll see.

That is a possibility seeing that Tom Lord-Alge is involved.

But Tom does a lot of mixing too, or he could've done that on music that was recorded in Japan - of late, the band had this one-week breaks in between dates. They could've recorded the single in any of these 'free' periods.

More like 1990's pop-punk, like Avril Lavigne and Green Day. There was a resurgence of this pop-punk from around 1995 to 2000 or so, but none of it was really "punk" like The Clash or The Buzzcocks (though, those were both English). The 1990's stuff was, to me, kind of punk-light.

Though, personally, as I mentioned before, I'd call the sound more like 1990's alternative rock. When I heard the instrumental portion of the song, I immediately thought of Weezer, though I probably couldn't point to a specific Weezer song that Stamp sounds like.

The more I listen to the preview the more I like it, it keeps geting better and better.

It's ok if it's like just a summer themed music but I can't see the reason behind those scratchy sounds...

However it is relaxing...
