My personal highlights from 26.9:
- meeting (and more importantly, uncannily recognising) other SCANDAL HEAVEN members in the queue
- teasing TOMOMI if she remembered me from before, eliciting a response from MAMI next to her
- getting 5 secs more to say something to the lasses, as compared to my previous high touch sesh experience
- after having been to four of their shows, finally got to stand in the 2nd row (behind babaloued and Noodles) in front of MAMI for the first time, AND getting our collective right forearms in the first trailer of the upcoming documentary film! *yes, this IS a big deal* HAHAHAHA
- and having my mug included in a tweet by fumilife and retweeted by RINA
- having a post-show döner kebab with SH members from Manchester, Oldham, Glasgow/Poland, Milan and Vienna (you know who you are!)
- last but not least, having one of the best times of my life seeing my favourite band live with like-minded fans/friends - and I hope to have this experience again someday!

Shiroten PerformerOh what a day!
it was my first time in London(and first time taking a flight) so it could be memorable just for that.
Even though it was freezing cold, waiting in the queue wasn't that bad thanks to other SH members that I met.
The concert itself was awesome, I had so much fun, I just wish it lasted more..and even compared to some rock legends it still is one of my favourite concert.
I just regret leaving that early, but my phone was dying and I had no idea what night bus take..

The Essen Experience

Caless StudentSecond live for me after Paris. Although the setlist was the same (except the encore) I really enjoyed it. Both concerts were special, Paris was the first, but in Essen I had a better standing place. The venue was a bit smaller, but this was in favour of the ambiance. Especially during the solo songs (Oyasumi etc.). And las but not least, they played Harukaze.wow.! I did not expect that so I was really surprised and happy, as it is oneof my favourite songs.

AdministratorI posted this earlier in this thread, but here are my highlights from Essen, which IMO was the best out of the Europe lives:
•I dressed in a cosplay of HARU's "Yoake no Ryuuseigun" outfit and Arisa, SCANDAL's female manager, and Tsuchi complimented it. Arisa also said, in Japanese, that she remembered seeing me in Paris and London!
•Erich and Lale in their HELLO WORLD outfits and me in mine:
•I was again first in line for the high-touch session and it was just the best. TOMO was first up, and for some reason she was super happy to see me that day! As I walked up to her, she started smiling very wide and, instead of high-fiving me, grabbed both of my hands while saying "Waaa!" hahaha. Next was HARU, and she said, "Sugoi!" while smiling. RINA said, "Kyou wa 'Ryuuseigun' ne! (A 'Yoake no Ryuusegiun' outfit today, I see!)" MAMI was last, and she was like, "Yay!" I was so stunned at how happy they apparently were to see me! haha.
•The Essen live was, hands down, the best Europe live for me. The crowd was great and the all-around atmosphere was just awesome. The band too seemed like they were having a wonderful time; they were all smiles the entire time! I also had a ton of eye contact with MAMI during "HARUKAZE" haha. That was pretty neat.
•After the live, Lale and I called to Motchy, their guitar tech, for guitar picks. He obliged, threw a handful out towards us, and we both caught one!

Shiroten PerformerEssen was my first concert ever and it was an event i will never forget.
First to see People who love the music of SCANDAL makes me happy .Now I´m sure I´m not the only SCANDAL-Fan in Europe. I saw the Group with thoseguiltyeys in the front of the row but i was to shy to speak to them. I spoke with 2 Guys from Germany and met 2 Girls from the Netherlands and a other Guy from Hong Kong .That make the time in the waiting row so short.
Then the high-touch . I was so nervous to see the Girls live so close .The Girls look so cute and Kawaaii .(and the Girls were so short I never expected)
And after the high touch came the best Thing ever .The Girls enter the stage an I was in the first row directly in front of my beloved Tomomi , I be close to tears .
When the music starts ,it was great to hear the Music and see the Girls have the same fun like I .
The crowd makes me happy to , the sing along and jump and make this evening very Special to me .
I hope the time when Your Song an Image was playing will never Ends.
Overall thanks to Haruna , Tomomi , Mami and Rina to give me an time i will never Forget.
Also thanks to SCANDAL Heaven ,the Fans in Essen and all the Fans in the all over World to support SCANDAL .

I initially planned to go see the concert in London, but couldn't make it due to work. When they announced the concert in Essen, I didn't hesitate for long an bought a ticket. Sadly, I it was not a VIP-Ticket, which would have been a big plus. I went to Essen for two days straight. Though there wasn't that much to see, I really like the city.
The location on the day before the concert:
On the morning of the concert I visited the 'Zeche Zollverein' which was an impressive building and sight to see. I went back to my hotel room to wait for the concert to begin. I am used to rather short queues in front of the concerts I visit so I thought to myself: 'When I get there at about 18:00 I will be pretty early'. That was a mistake. At around, I think 16:00 I read a post on facebook showing the long queue in front of the venue. I was shocked .wtf..
That said, it was only a 10 minute walk so I went straight to the venue in a hurry. Sadly, I lined up in the wrong (VIP) queue...
Until I realized that, the normal queue was quite a sight as well. I was seriously surprised, that most of the audience seemed to have bought VIP-Tickets. On the other hand, they weren't that much more expensive and I really regret not buying one. I thought I am not that much of a fanboy to buy a VIP-ticket. Now I know I am .upwalk..
First thing inside the venue I was handed a pen to write a message to the band on a flag. This was a very nice idea in my opinion. I had the feeling, that there were way to many people running around taking videos and photos. Fact is, I sort of sensed they found film something to make a documentary of some sort.
Determined to buy a T-Shirt I lined up at the merchandise booth. Sadly enough, the guy selling the merch told me, they were long sold out of these (except for a few girlie-shirts). So all I got was the greatest hits CD and the last wristband available .wew..
Inside I stood way more in the back then I hoped for. Then again, it was very pleasant back there and the audience was very relaxed.
The show itself was insane. I've seen quite a few concerts of the last couple of years, but this was probably the most intense one. The band seemed to be really happy to play the show and had so much fun. The most memorable moment of the show to me was MAMI. During one of her solos, she hit one note to hard an caused some unintentional feedback. Her face was like this: .sweat. 'Ups, I'm sorry, guys'
Before I went back after the show, I lined up at the merchandise booth once again to buy a poster. Took me nearly 30 minutes of waiting, if I remember correctly.
The next day I went home as happy as could be. Since that day I am waiting for them to announce the next concerts in Europe. Things I will do differently next time: See all concerts in europe and buy VIP-Tickets. I'm all fired up .rage.

Caless StudentHello everyone !
Long time have not made a post here !
The first live I have been to was the one in Paris. I was going alone, but I made friend with some strangers :D
At first, it was the only live I wanted to go. So I skipped the London show.
But I was still talking with some people I have met in Paris, and we hyped each other and decided to go on a last minute quest to find V.I.P tickets for Essen.
Aaand it was a success !
So I've travelled to Paris - (1h30 from my home), then took the bus to Essen (about 7hours).
When it was time to get out of the bus, I noticed someone with a Scandal background on his phone. I talked to him, and we've made the road to the entrance.
We arrived at 8 AM, and of course, there were already these awesome fan waiting.
I remember it was soo cold !
At noon, we saw the girls arrived. They were really happy to see us.
Then we took turn to go get some food, aaand of course, I got lost in the big mall (Because I am always lost in big mall)
I'll always remember this day because of all the emotions I go through when it was time for us to enter the venue.
The guy, who was supposed to sell me the ticket didn't show off. So I was looking at everyone going inside and me just here telling myself "oh Okay, I'll just buy a normal ticket anyway .. .waaa. ".
He finally showed up 20 minutes late, like "oh hi ! I am there". So I took the ticket (I am pretty sure I gave him more than we agreed but whatever xD ) and get in.
I started to go on the queue like "sigh, they are all in front and I am waaay back.". but I decided to go to a security guy, explain him the situation, and he let me go through, and I was like "Yeaaah ! Party !"
The hi-touch was great, but I don't know why I stared way too much in Mami's eyes and I think I may have scared her... I am so sorry Mami ! :0
And as for Paris, I couldn't say a single word to them haha. So I just smiled.
The show was really great ! The crowd was hyped and the girls were really smily !
It was all "smile and sing along" mood for me haha.
And we ended up getting picks. For the little story, mocchi tried to give me some, but I failled at catching them and other people got them.
he saw me, goes to the back stage entrance and gave me one in hand.
This one is a little used, but I don't know if it's Haruna's or Mami's one.
I am gratefull that we decided to go in Essen for this Live of Scandal !
I've met awesome people !
But now, I am even more loving this band ! And I really want to go again on one of their Live ! .love.

Caless StudentI was there for the Singapore leg of the tour.
It was a memorable day. SCANDAL, the band who bring the rain with them. It started raining heavily and the girls have to run for cover in the late morning. I remember telling my friend that they are going to sing 'Rainy' and I was right. XD
While walking back from buying merchandise to rejoin the queue, I was caught in a photo which was posted on their Facebook page, oh the honor. Lolol. Didn't notice until my friend told me about it.
There's so much excitement before the concert started. So many things to say, but the one thing that sticks in my mind is when Mami forgot her lyrics during 'Hon wo Yomu 本を読む'. The face she made then was unforgettable.
'SCANDAL BABY' is always good, 'RAINY' was performed as predicted. Ending with 'EVERYBODY SAY YEAH' ended the concert on a high note. But Mami is definitely unforgettable.
Next stop, Japan for the 10th Anniversary concert.

Indie ArtistI was also there in the Singapore leg. It was also my first time seeing the band as well. It was way back 2011 I think when I started to realize that I want to see them live and four years after it happened.
I, along with my 3 friends went to see the concert, we were in the VIP section just in the middle of the crowd.
I was getting this negative jitters before the concert like they might not be as good as the televised performances but when the four of them started playing "love in action", all those thoughts just went away. It was amazing, RINA is really a beast when it comes to playing the drums.
One notable thing on the concert is when MAMI forgot the lyrics for Hon wo Yomu haha. Me and my frienda were looking at each other and wondered why she forgot the lyrics. Onegai Navigation and Yoake no Ryuuseigun really blew me away.
It was fantastic. They are much better live. Their passion and energy pumps up the crowd
The VIP comes with a high five session after the concert which is also a very good bonus as well. I can still remember MAMI's hand being hard as stone. Well that's just enough to say that she plays her instrument too often.
I also went to HK leg but I guess I should post it within the next few days

A repost of what I had typed previously. Can't believe it's been 5 months since that day. Good memories are flowing back now that I'm re-reading this, especially my 2 up-close-and-personal experiences with RINA.
Something I forgot to mention last time was that thanks to the airport experience, I managed to make friends with fellow fans, since their arrival was unannounced and only a small group of us was there to greet them, which made it easier for me to know and befriend all these fellow fans. If not for the airport experience I could guarantee I wouldn't have known any of these people IRL, and I'm actually pretty thankful for that. I don't keep in contact with them as often as the old-timers do, but the Facebook chat group created for this still exists, and once in a while someone would pop up with a random message and get the ball rolling for a while, so I'm really glad for this unexpected takeaway
TL;DR: my entire concert experience can be summarised in 3 separate incidents

- Spoiler:
SG concert started back at the airport during their arrival. One of the fans had prepared gifts (image in the SG thread) for them and were giving them out to some of us to pass to them. Important Point #1 for me: I volunteered to give it to RINA (of course) and managed to get a smile and thanks out from her when I gave her the gift. Small stuff, but having RINA give me a reaction was good enough for me
Some small unimportant stuff that I want to keep record of somewhere first, it's all a bit of personal stuff, so skip this if you want to.- Spoiler:
- Concert day, I went out early in the morning to meet BB and others, realised I forgot to bring my concert ticket after meeting them and took a 1hour taxi home and back that costs SGD$44.50 (oh my god my wallet was screaming in pain). Met them again over at Sentosa instead about 8am.
Throughout the day the SH people were getting people to write messages on the banner that we brought to the airport on Thursday. Later about 5pm the organisers brought out an empty canvas as the "official" message board for the girls. Both sets end up getting completely filled, and the "unofficial banner was presented to the girls during the hi-touch.
About noon, news from BB was that the girls were at Starbucks. He admitted later that on hindsight announcing that was a bad idea, because at that moment a group of 7-8 of us (including me) headed over to Starbucks to see them. A few of them were taking photos until Eisuke stopped them. There were reactions from them when we called them a bit though, so that was good. There were also news somewhere that they also headed to Universal Studios in the morning. Nothing else eventful happened after that.
Approaching the concert time, someone asked to film the SH gang, asking for permission to use the footage for a SCANDAL documentary. We obliged of course, and Flare more or less became the spokesperson for the SH group thanks to him answering every question thrown towards us. Meanwhile, while queuing for merchandise we get treated to sneak previews of the concert during their rehearsal thanks to the open air concept
7pm: start of entrance. Everyone starts running in, nothing like I've ever seen before. Thanks to leaving my bag in Flare's room I managed to skip the bag check and grab a front row spot right between HARUNA and MAMI, where I can see RINA clearly and exactly in front of where RINA would be while playing Oyasumi. More on that later.
After a 1 hour wait, during which some people were calling out the names of the staff, concert starts. Love in Action, Satisfaction, DOLL. I more or less went full throttle the moment the first note is played, I was out of energy by the end of DOLL.
MC1 (might not be accurate, entirely based on memory): HARUNA starts talking about how hot the weather is (it's an outdoor venue), and whether it is always like this. Talks about playing even more exciting songs. Cue start of part 2
Shunkan, SCANDAL BABY, Kagen no Tsuki played. Huge pop for KnT here, probably because most people haven't heard it live yet. Towards the end I was really out of energy and was acting like a car on first gear with the accelerator floored.
MC2: Introduction of members (can't really remember if this was MC1 or 2, I might have swapped it around). Something else that I can't remember was said. Cue start of part 3
Onegai, Kan Biiru, Hon wo Yomu, Oyasumi played. Huge pops for all the songs, particularly for MAMI's and RINA's. MAMI forgot her lyrics somewhere during Hon wo Yomu, she had an embarrassed look on her face. Cue the encouraging cheers from the crowd. Huge cheers for RINA the moment she stepped away from her drum, and she looked super cute with the guitar. Important point #2 for me: During Oyasumi, the moment RINA started singing I literally cried, right in front of RINA. I was trying my best to wave along to her song, but I ended up grabbing my face 3/4 of the time trying to stop my tears from flowing, all the while still trying to sing along with her.
MC3: can't remember if they said anything important because I was still trying to control my tear ducts. I just remember they said they were going to play songs special to them. Cue start of part 4
Departure, TaiKimi, Yoake, Your Song and Image played. Extremely huge pop for Departure. The moment they started my tear ducts opened again, because this is the first song since Haruka (my first SCANDAL song) that has touched me so much, and which is currently 2nd on my top favourites after the aforementioned song. Again, I was grabbing my face half the time trying to reduce the tears. End of main set, I immediately collapsed on the floor, waiting for their encore.
They return to the stage, they mentioned how it was raining earlier today. Cue start of first encore song: Rainy!! Woohoo!!Extremely huge pop for that. Wonder if they planned it all along or they decided to switch it last minute to match the weather. Any energy I recovered during the break was immediately expended. Final song ESY, more or less the standard reaction they receive, with me more or less already dying. SCANDAL finish the song, HARUNA holds up the official message board written by fans and RINA was holding the Singapore flag. Too cute to handle. All 4 of them then thanks the crowd
Hi touch session after that. In order: HARUNA>RINA>TOMOMI>MAMI. Told HARU saikou desu. IMPORTANT POINT #3: Told RINA I cried during Oyasumi in (most likely) gramatically incorrect Japanese (Oyasumi naitetta). She probably understood anyway, because her reaction was priceless. She had a huge genuine look of surprise on her face (with mouth covered), asked really? in Japanese, and replied with a huge thanks. BEST MOMENT OF THE CONCERT CAME AFTER THE CONCERT!!! I was so occupied with RINA's reaction that I don't even remember if I hi-5ed TOMOMI and MAMI before I said Happy Birthday to them (birthdays are coming) just before I was pushed out. Kind of feel sorry for MAMI and TOMOMI, especially since MAMI is my 2nd bias, but I really couldn't get RINA's reaction out of my head.
Met them again (completely by accident) leaving the venue while heading back from Starbucks to Flare's room. Managed to get a quick goodbye before they went on their way (my mind suddenly completely blanked on how to say goodbye in Japanese)
And for post concert afterthoughts
The Coliseum is an okay live venue for me. It gets really really hot because it's not air-conditioned, but the sound system sounded quite fine to me except for a few balancing issues, sometimes the instruments really overpowered the vocals
The main perks for fans at this venue comes outside the concert. Artistes performing here are most likely to stay at the hotels here, so there's a real high chance to meet them just walking around, as proven by the Starbucks encounter, because it's just more or less a contained area unless they decide to leave Sentosa. There definitely won't be as high a chance to meet them on the streets if the live is held somewhere else.
And also, it being open aired means we get to hear all the tuning and stuff going on inside the stage while we are queuing. We got treated to a short introduction to DOLL and some other songs, and even a full length preview of Yoake complete with vocals while we were waiting, so it was a pretty good deal to get to hear a song live 2 times in a single day.
As a reminder to myself for future lives, I need to remember to conserve energy instead of going all out from the start.
And the most important part for me: my multiple incidents involving RINA. I already expected I would cry during Oyasumi (it's RINA's first solo song after all), but it was a last minute decision to tell RINA I really cried, and it was a damn great decision, her reaction is still replaying in my head even now. And getting to pass the gift to RINA at the airport was a huge bonus to me as well, since I was expecting just a Hi-Bye session with them. So to get 2 up close and personal experiences with RINA that totally exceeded my expectations was a huge deal for me. I was kind of hoping that she might have noticed me crying since I was standing directly in front of her, but getting to surprise her like that was also a pretty great feeling. I really feel sorry for MAMI and TOMOMI though, I really cannot remember if I hi-5ed them. I probably did, but it just didn't register, and I feel bloody sorry for that. At least I remembered to wish them happy birthday (no time to mention that was in advance though), so I guess I made up for it in a way.
CONCLUSION: Thanks to the interactions with RINA, especially during the Hi-Touch, I doubt any other concert can ever top this experience. Even my long awaited visit to Japan to watch them live can never top this, and this is saying something because watching them live in Japan at least once before they retire is at the top of my bucket list.
TL;DR: my entire concert experience can be summarised in 3 separate incidents

I was at the Essen concert. I really don't remember much of the concert, joy and happiness were overwhelming. From hi-touch I remember Tomomi was standing first and Mami was last. I remember Mami's hand was soft and delicate, and because Mami is my favourite I gave her a really long and firm handshake, I was walking away and still holding her hand and looking her in the eyes. I can't speak japanese so this way I wanted to communicate her my gratitude and happiness because of them being there and giving us this opportunity. I think she understood because we exchanged knowing smiles at the end.
Concert was a blur. I was standing in first row right in front of Mami, screaming at the top of my lungs, suddenly knowing all the lyrics, jumping to the "Everybody Say Yeah" and clapping so hard and so much I had bruises on my forearms Mami looked at me and smiled and that's it. I was a little disappointed because they didn't play my favourite "Awanai...". Weststadthalle was really small but has awesome sound, girls played amazingly not even one false note. Beautiful
I have one picture where you can see where I was standing. It's obviously not Mami but a guy from their Stuff but I took it to remember.

AdministratorMy summary/highlights/etc. from Mexico:
•My boyfriend, 2 friends, and I flew together from LAX around 11 pm the night before the live. We had to transfer planes in Guadalajara, but there was an issue with our initial plane's wing flap not opening so we had to circle around for about an hour. When we finally landed and got to the gate for our transfer, we had just missed it by a few minutes! Luckily, we were able to get on the next flight out and arrived in Mexico City around 7 am.
•We got to the venue around 9 am and thought for a second there was no one else there already because the front of the venue was deserted, but we turned the corner and saw a long line on the side lol
•For some reason, they corralled the VIP people in the entrance of the venue a few hours before the show. Space was limited and we were basically all stuffed together like cattle. That was not very pleasant.
•I wore a cosplay of HARU's Queens are trumps live outfit and the M&G was, as always, awesome for me personally. As I was going up to the band, MAMI recognized me and quipped, "来た! (You came!)" That was really cool. I went between HARU and RINA and threw up devil horns because I wasn't sure what to do for a pose, but I think RINA and MAMI somehow thought I was doing a peace sign (see picture) lol. After the picture, I told them, "See you in Los Angeles!"
•After your turn was up, you would go back to the floor and find a spot to watch the show. I didn't realize until later that the VIP section was separated from the regulars, but I thought that was pretty nice. I got a front row spot one person over to the right from being directly in front of HARU.
•After the M&G was completely finished, the band came out on stage and did a very brief Q&A, answering only 3 questions from people in the audience. The first question was along the lines of "Is there something that's difficult about doing a world tour?" TOMO answered that she'd like the time it takes to travel from Japan to be shortened. The second one was "Are you expecting to do another world tour in the near future?" RINA answered that they'd like to do one next year too. The last one was "Have you eaten tacos here yet?" MAMI answered that she's eaten them every day, that they taste different from the ones in Japan, and that she really likes them.
•The photo pit was completely FILLED with people; at least 30-40 people were crammed in there! A lot of them didn't even have pro cameras and were taking pictures with their phones or point-and-shoots. I heard later that small blogs who don't even properly know about SCANDAL had gotten photo passes, and I'm sure those people were probably them. Sigh. It was just so filled up that it was way too hot even before the show began. Luckily, they were all kicked out after the third song.
•The live itself was okay. It wasn't that amazing or anything to me personally. It really annoyed me that the guy to the left of me was singing so loudly in broken Japanese that I could barely hear the band's vocals! I had to lean forward the entire time in order to actually hear the band instead of the guy. D:
•This was the first SCANDAL live where pictures and video were actually allowed! Unfortunately, I followed the rules and didn't bring in my camera because the ticket said "No cameras" on it haha.
•For the encore, MAMI and TOMO came out with the whistles they had bought at Teotihuacan and tried to play them, but the crowd just would not quiet down. In recent interviews the band said that the frequent cheering/etc. was not disruptive, but that's not correct--it totally was. People would start chanting ear-splittingly loud during every.single.break. It was WAY too over-the-top and ridiculous. During the encore it was especially bad. The crowd attempted to sing Las Mananitas (Mexican birthday song) to MAMI (at the wrong time, no less) and wouldn't even shut up at first when the band tried to get them to quiet down so that they could talk. Honestly, the crowd was so rude.
•After their second encore song, the real birthday celebration began as Las Mananitas started playing on the PA. Then, a birthday cake was brought out as a surprise for MAMI. She said how being able to celebrate her birthday in Mexico made her very happy, and that they'd take back to Japan the power they received on tour and put it into writing songs.
•There were so many bootleggers selling bootleg SCANDAL merch outside the venue! It was nuts. They had everything from bootleg HW tour shirts to caps with metal plaques that said "SCANDAL" on them.
•We went to our friends' hotel room close by, took a short nap, headed back to the airport around 2 am, and waited around to catch our flight at 6 am. We were only in Mexico for less than 24 hours, and we basically we didn't sleep for almost 2 days lol.
•Also, it was great meeting those from SH who were there!

Where do I even start? I'll try to make this as short as possible. I'll try.
If you are too lazy to read mynovel summary, here are my highlights:
- I almost died when they announced they were coming to Mexico, I cried for like 5 hours.
- First member I saw in person was RINA at the airport, at a really long distance, but I could tell it was her, and I just froze.
- RINA smiled and waved right at me at the airport, she looked so happy and I couldn't believe she was real. TOMOMI waved at me when we were walking towards the elevator, she was the nicest with fans. I managed to scream MAMI's name at the end and she gave me a smile as she was entering the elevator.
- When I was walking towards MAMI, the first thing she said was "Oh, the same!", she was referring to my hair that I dyed in the same color as her for the concert.
- TOMOMI thanked me in spanish and said "GRACIAS!".
- I was on first row right in front of MAMI. I was able to see all of her solos and get all of her smiles hahahaha.
- I got MAMI's pick!
- It was the best day of my life.
- I couldn't do it, it ended up being too long.:
So, let's go back to december 4th, when they announced they were coming to Mexico. To keep it short, I never imagined I would be seeing them live ever. When they first announced the tour I was super excited for them, but I knew I wouldn't be able to go to any of their concerts because I couldn't afford it. So when I saw the announcement I stared at the screen for like a minute until it finally hit me, and I couldn't stop crying for like 5 hours, I'm not even lying. To give you an idea, my copy of HELLO WORLD also arrived on that day, but I wasn't even able to open it until the following day, I really couldn't stop crying.
Well then, let's skip to the concert week. I was having a hard time trying to figure out exactly on what day they were going to arrive at the airport, so I traveled to Mexico City on Sunday and checked their Twitter every 5 seconds. Luckily they were still in Chicago, so they had to arrive on Monday. There were only 3 flights coming from Chicago and they had to do a radio show on Monday night, so that was it. I really want to thank Mark, because he told me exactly on what plane they were coming, so there I was. I arrived like 2 hours before, I didn't want to miss them. I was the only one there for a while, I was even alone when the plane landed, so I thought I was going to be the only one, but other fans arrived eventually. We were like 20? at the end.
I would never forget this moment, the first one I saw was RINA at the distance. I froze and my heart started pounding. I couldn't believe they were real, I don't know, it was a weird feeling. Then I could see TOMOMI on the waiting line and then HARUNA. Honestly, I was only looking for MAMI, so when I saw her I almost started crying. When they came closer I was so shocked I couldn't even say anything, I was just standing there waving. Then RINA stopped for a moment and waved directly at me, I couldn't believe it, she was smiling and looked really cute. Then we ran to the other side, and as we were walking, it was TIMO this time who waved at me. In my opinion, she was the nicest, as to be expected of her. She was always smiling and waving back at us. I could finally scream MAMI's name and I got a little smile while she was entering the elevator. I was happy with just that. I also said something to the camera in japanese, but I was so nervous and got it all wrong (I could see two years of japanese classes going down the drain), but the camera lady was so nice and smiled and me and gave me a thumbs up. She was way too nice. I also waved at Motchy but I didn't get a reply lol.
Then I met up with Mark and Geoff at the airport and went to some kind of failed tour through Mexico City and we also went to eat some tacos. I really want to thank you guys, it was so nice meeting other SCANDAL fans and I really had a great time.
So, the day of the concert was finally here. I managed to finish my letters I wrote for themlike 10 minutes before leaving the hotel, had breakfast and off to the venue. Me and my mom arrived at 10 - 10:30, or something like that. I want to thank Lale for keeping a place for us. It was really nice meeting all SH members that went. I really enjoyed my time on the queue thanks to you guys. But the 4 hours or so that we spent on that really small room, ugh. It was too hot and imagine the smell, not cool. We could hear the sound check though, it was cool.
Finally, we were able to meet them at 5. Since we were some of the first in line, the girls entered the room while we were there. They looked absolutely beautiful. Since I first saw them at the airport, it wasn't that big of a shock, I was just so happy to meet them. When it was my turn, I had my letters and my presents ready, so I began walking towards them thinking of what I was going to say. When I was walking towards MAMI she looked at me surprised and said: "おおお、同じ!(Oh, the same!)". She was referring to my hair, which I dyed in the same color as her for the concert. I'm not going to lie, this was probably the best moment of my life, THE highlight of my whole life. My mind went blank after that, I couldn't even remember what I was going to say to her. When I gave her her birthday present I managed to say that it was for her birthday and she thanked me, I was so nervous I couldn't even look her in the face, I want to punch myself now. Then I gave RINA her letter and she also said arigatou, and gave me a big smile. She is so cute in person, I can't even describe it. She looked so happy. Then, when I gave HARUNA her letter, I mistakenly gave her and TIMO's letter together, I had to say sumimasen, but she laughed and smiled at me. Ah, she is so nice! And when I gave TOMOMI her letter she smiled and said in spanish "GRACIAS". Ah, she was so cute, I can't even. I feel bad because I had no idea what to say, so I just smiled. But she is really the nicest. I remembered to tell them that the bracelets I gave them were from my city and they said "ooooooooo", haha they looked surprised. Then I went to take my picture. I had no idea what pose to do (we were only allowed to do 2), but it turned out ok, I guess. I really hope they liked their letters and bracelets. Here it is: (I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling, it all felt like a dream).
I looked at MAMI one last time and she smiled hahaha. Then I said arigatou and they all said goodbye.
At the concert, I got the spot that I wanted! Yes! First row, right in front of MAMI. I want to thank Lale again, this time for switching with me so I could be closer to MAMI. And there we were, SH MAMI's team (Lale, Geoff and myself). This was my view to the stage:
Pretty nice right? Then there was a short Q&A session just for the VIPs, only 4 questions. Pretty lame questions if you ask me, and the translator guy was a bit annoying, but the girls looked absolutely adorable.
After another 2 hours of waiting, the staff went on stage to check the instruments and things started to get real. Downside was that the press entered the venue and some of them were blocking my view. I still can't believe how they can call themselves press and take pictures with a cellphone or a GoPro. That is beyond me. The girls finally came out and the crowd went crazy. They looked so happy and they actually smiled during the whole concert. Love in action and Satisfaction were great, I was trying to jump as high as I could, trying to hit some of the press guys, but because it was my first time seeing them live, I really went crazy. I was really disappointed at DOLL, because it was one of the songs that I was most looking forward to seeing live, but the camera man decided to stand right in front of me and over a chair or something, so I couldn't swing my towel as I wanted to, or see clearlyat MAMI. I think I hit him many times with my towel, sorry camera man. The good thing is that I also hit a girl that was behind me that was using me as a tripod hehehe. She left me alone after that song, win. And I think the rest of the people surrounding me were kinda scared of me, lol, I have to admit I went crazy. I'm really short but I was the one that jumped the highest because most of them had no idea what to do on any of the songs hahaha.
Thankfully the press left and I could see MAMI clearly. She was right in front of me, and if I'm not imagining things, she smiled at me a few times during the concert. (Maybe she was laughing at me because I was jumping like a maniac). OMG, she is so cool! Her solos are amazing! AHHHHHH! Anyway, they played Shunkan Sentimental, and everyone went crazy, it is not my favorite song, but I have to admit that it is really cool to see it live. Then they played SCANDAL BABY, my personal favorite of the concert. I completely lost my breath after this song, thankfully they played Kagen no Tsuki after, but I wasn't able to rest because I love that song. I wish I could've enjoyed it more, though, only song from STANDARD after all D': Then they introduced themselves in spanish (their spanish was incredible, they were so cute).
Then was time for HELLO WORLD songs. Onegai Navigation is meant to be heard live, it is really an experience. Hon wo Yomu. What can I say? I'm way too biased, so it was naturally one of my favorite songs of the concert. Kan Biiru was really cool, I'm kinda sad because I couldn't see TIMOat alltoo well, but this song was fantastic. And Oyasumi, OMG. RINA was perfect, I was so happy I could see her up close. I didn't really like this song that much on my first listen, but you have to see it live. It was probably on my top 5 of the concert. It really gets you pumped and it was one of the songs where I had the most fun. I'm still angry that they didn't play Graduation.
Departure was absolutely beautiful. It is one of my top 3 SCANDAL songs, so seeing it live... beautiful. Taiyou to kimi was also one of my favorite songs of the concert. It's not that special on CD, but it is one of the most fun songs to see live. It's probably the one where I had the most fun. Also, when I was waving my towel, MAMI smiled at me and nodded like she was saying: yeah, you are doing it right, hahaha. (Only a few of us were waving towels). Yoake no Ryuuseigun was also fantastic. And... Your Song and Image, what a way to end up a concert.
I don't want to talk a lot about the mexican crowds, but I have to. First of all, I'm not sure if liked or not the fact that they allowed people to record the concert. Most of them were just raising their phones, so the crowd had no movement at all, only a few people were jumping, so it wasn't as powerful as it should be. Also, most people had no idea what to do during the songs. I understand this is your first time going to one of their concerts, but come on, it was my first time too. If you are a fan you should have seen their videos, right? At least SCANDAL BABY, come on. Also, yes, mexican crowds are extremely loud, and we can feel your love, but it's totally not cool to scream while they are trying to speak. This happened when the girls came back for the encore. They were trying to play their flutes, but some people from the back wouldn’t shut up, and they also made a mistake and started singing to MAMI before they had to, so the girls tried to make them stop, but they wouldn’t listen to them. I think it was rude. But the girls were really nice about it. They are way too nice. I love them so much.
Anyway, when they came back for the encore, RINA ran right in front of where I was and tried to high-five us, but she was too far and couldn't reach us. :'c But you could see her up close, so it was cool after all. First encore song was Shoujo S, my least favorite choice for the encore, I really wanted it to be Awanai (my favorite song), but it was nice. They looked cute when they danced. And EVERYBODY SAY YEAH, absolutely fantastic. I think I have never jumped so high in my life. And MAMI was also jumping right in front of me. It was amazing. Then they played las mañanitas. (Fun fact: I was actually the one that reminded Love Japan that it was MAMI's birthday and asked them to play this song at the concert and give her a cake because we couldn't give them food. I asked for something with melons, but they didn't take my suggestion, they gave her a strawberry cake, sigh). MAMI was really happy, she looked surprised. But they played the long version of the song, (I don't even know it myself, why the long version?), so she had no idea when to blow the candles, and they didn't really explained it to her. I blame the annoying translator guy haha. After that she wanted to give us a present, so they played Kagerou, amazing. Such a rare opportunity to see this song live, it was incredible. And sadly, it was the end. I didn't wanted it to end, but it had to.
After that I had a special bonus:
MAMI'S PICK!!!!! AH, I'M SO LUCKY I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT.
So in short, it was the best day of my life.
Again, Mark, Geoff, Lale, Jade, Erich, Neil and Freddie, it was amazing meeting all of you.
If you read through the whole thing, congratulations and thank you haha.
If you are too lazy to read my
- I almost died when they announced they were coming to Mexico, I cried for like 5 hours.

I will never forget that day of the Anaheim live .love.
In all honesty, throughout the whole thing, a part of me just couldn't believe it was real lol
They were right there, so close, playing the songs I'd been listening to pretty much on a daily basis, and I was in the same room experiencing it.
I didn't have the closest seat, but I didn't mind too much. I still enjoyed myself.
My fav parts were Tomo and Mami making Haru laugh during SCANDAL BABY, getting to hear Onegai Navigation and Hon wo Yomu, the girls' English MCs, and Tomo's stuffed bear refusing to sit without falling over lol
At the end I met Jade and Erich which was also really cool~
And of course the next day came that feeling of sadness and despair because I was realizing it was over and I didn't know if I'd ever see them again lol
I really do hope I get the chance to see them live again and, even more, to meet them. Until then, I'll hold the memories of that day in Anaheim oh so very close to my little heart ; u;

Indie ArtistSo, yeah, I remember the Chicago live like it was yesterday (Kinda, it's been so long and I have literally like one or two pictures to prove that I actually did it, if you don't count the signed merchandise) and it's definitely something that comes up first when asked what my accomplishments are. It gets some peoples eyes rolling when I start off on it, but I'm still excited about it even now.
For example, I got interested to see what Anime Central would be doing for their 2016 convention, and I checked the website last night. Front page, very first thing people see when they go to the page, is a picture of the front rows at the concert, and I could easily identify myself. I literally told everyone I knew about it. I am still super excited about that picture, and my friends who like similar things that I do get excited for me even.
My favorite parts of Chicago's live were the part where, during the encore, Tomo fell just a little bit (At first I was kinda worried, but she laughed it off pretty quickly) and the second autograph session, where I (Not sure why this is my favorite thing) decided that I would use English to speak to Rina saying something I actually knew how to say in Japanese (I was nervous and forgot that I could say words. It took a lot of effort to look them in the eyes, I was so nervous) and thankfully a translator saved me from further embarrassment.
But yeah, definitely something I'll treasure my whole life. Definitely an experience.

Caless StudentI went to the live at Sunset Strip House of Blues.
It was my first time seeing the girls in person. When they first came out it felt like a dream and I honestly teared up.
Sad thing is even thought I got the VIP tickets I didn't know the schedule for the meet and greet picture session. I was so jealous when I saw all the pictures ppl get to take with the girls.
Anyway, I've only started following SCANDAL for a little over a year, so going in I was a bit worry that I had hyped myself up too much for this and if the performance was anything less than perfect I might be disappointed. As soon as the first song was over, I hated myself so much for ever doubting the girls and I really want to slap myself for not committing and getting the tickets for the Anaheim show also.
One highlight for me personally is the fact that they played Awanaitsumorino, Genkidene during the encore. This song is really special to me, because it was my first SCANDAL song. I was watching something on Youtube, and some how Haru's face pop up as one of the suggested video and I couldn't help but clicked on it, and then I was hooked for life.
I hope I will be lucky enough to have another chance to see more SCANDAL lives in the future.
