I have no idea where the other MVs like 24 Jikan popped up from, but they might remove it some time later. And noticing that they excluded RINA from best female solo and best musical ability, they might include her some time later as well, since I remember she's always been nominated when the other members were nominated as well.

I think, the rockest part of scandal are Mami and Rina, Haruna is better for pop.

Lol wouldn't it be smarter if all of us decided on one single or mv that we like the best and then vote for that one single or mv all the time to increase their chances on winning? Just a suggestion~ What do you guys think???

I'm so confused why Rina's not in the Best Musical Ability category for any of them. She's extremely talented, can practically be a one man band with all the instruments she knows, can compose some awesome melodies and writes extremely heartfelt stuff. Weird jpopasia staff :/

^Yeah... Weird Jpopasia staff... A lot of inaccuracies here and there.   Again, they were not included in the best use of social media category... Is it because they don't have an official FB page?

I also agree that we vote for a particular MV and single. For me, I voted for Kagen no Tsuki for the MV category and Awanai for the Best Single. What do you guys think?

And in the Jrock category... I wonder who made that list.  .nani.

^Yep, voted for the same thing haha. Awanai for best single and Kagen for best MV.

Yeah, I think not having an official facebook page to the jpopasia staff is a little indication that they don't really use social media as well as they could, which isn't true. Plus, tweeting in Japanese doesn't really help either...

Yes would be best to organize it but honestly so many choices that it's gonna be hard anyway. And some fans will not vote MAMI (just for the example) if they prefer RINA and have the choice =P

Also if you can vote everyday it's just gonna be a spam festival, I think it's bad :/ You should only be able to vote once.

So weird to have some of them in the poll, others not... And a lot of mistakes I think they overdid it completely with the numbers of bands/people in each pool... The winners will have 50 votes all the others 1, 2, 5, 6, etc lol.

Updated my list to include all 4 members in the favourite artist category as well, although i don't think it will matter as i think everyone here will vote for SCANDAL instead of its individual members. 

And yep, i also think its bad that multiple votes are allowed. It just shows which artist has the most hardcore fans that will vote for them loyally every day, instead of a true reflection of how popular the artist is across the world. 

As for the inaccuracies, i wont be surprised if JPA edits the list later on to correct this. They've done it before, i dont see any reason why they wont this year. I believe there's some sort of system that sorts them out automatically, hence all the inaccuracies. I cant see the staff being hardworking enough to sort thousands of singers and bands into their respective categories.

Yes you must be right, there must be some sort of automated system then the staff can edit it. But still it's a bit disappointing to put such a huge poll online if there are so many mistakes. Because you only noticed the ones for SCANDAL but I guess it's the same for other bands...

I think they should have only put the bands/artists that sold enough CDs or something. Maybe I'm wrong but with such a huge pool in some polls I doubt they all sold many many CDs?

^^ The thing is, Jpopasia has a whole heap of artist pages that have been created for a mix of different genres. Heck, even some bands/groups 99% of us haven't heard of will most likely have a page. When they have the massive awards, I'm sure that they just gather everything then bam. All those unheard artists are already automatically grouped. After all, this is why they have the 'nomination' round.

Basically, we're just lightening their workload and sorting out the popular artists from the ones that aren't for them, which is smart and makes them do less work lol. Besides all systems and machines have flaws too

I'm guessing the reason they are dumping every artist possible is so that they can get as much traffic to their site as possible up until the award winners are announced. 

More traffic > more ad revenues > more $$$.

gotta be impressed by how all of them individually managed to get into the final list of some categories even though splitting of votes between them is inevitable. looks like another year dominated by SCANDAL again if this goes on. pretty wasted that HARUNA didn't make it to Best Female Solo this year though.

^Yes. The finalists are chosen among the large pool of artists. Then the winners are the ones with the most votes among the finalists. Thus the second voting phase.

Voted again, that's a much better poll now with only a few choices. Happy that SCANDAL is finalist in so many polls!!  .love. 

But there is still one huge problem and real outrage (or scandal hihi)... How is our twitter-blog goddess RINA-sama not in the social poll choice at all?!  .wtf.  .omg.   .fustrated.

I've (and anchiel) sent an email to them about that last year, and they doesn't give a **** Maybe they do if more people complain about that?

btw if anyone want to vote in a half decent poll, then plz check the website of RTHK in March/April 2014 (last year RTHK Pop Poll)

SCANDAL is already part of 12 categories for this second round. That's pretty dominating, I'd say. I'm okay if Rina isn't part of the social poll. Artists included in that category such as Ayumi Hamasaki, LiSA, and Namie Amuro all have pretty popular Facebook pages (in addition to twitter and any Japanese blogging services). So I'm not that all shocked.

JpopAsia is a pretty good Asian entertainment community. Maybe they don't recognize SCANDAL's ameblo activity. So there's not really a need to bash them. If you want to promote another site's poll then make a separate thread for it. Thanks.
