The link to the poll: JPOP ASIA MUSIC AWARDS 2012

You can vote using your Twitter and Facebook accounts only once a day, so it's kind of a fair poll (unless you have multiple accounts haha). You don't need to register to jpopasia.com to participate. Prelims will end on December 24 and the finals will be on January next year. Also please take note that SCANDAL is in the JPOP Category, but you may want to check the JROCK section too if you support any other JROCK bands and because Rina and Mami were included in the 'Sexiest Rocker' category haha XD

I've noticed that SCANDAL weren't listed in the BEST GIRL BAND category this year, where they've won two years in a row previously. I don't know if it's because they've already won twice that they're not included this year or just some bugs or inconsistencies.

IMO SCANDAL not being in the Best Girl Band Category seems unfair(obviously.lol) but i remembered how they dominated 2011 poll so yeah...

Voting again today. Argh SCANDAL is still not in the BEST GIRL BAND category. And it's such an important category too .shy. And the artist line-up for this year's poll is somewhat messy.

But anyway, my votes are for SCANDAL all the way, and Haruna Ono all the way in the solo categories hahaha XD and I'm sticking with TaiScan for single/MV and QaT for album respectively to make my votes consistent hehe.

And ONE OK ROCK in the J-ROCK section.

The staff at JpopAsia showed again that they don't have a clue about what they are doing. There are dozens of wrong nominees in every single category, so I just list the Scandal related ones:
J-pop
* Best female solo: no Rina
* Best MV 2012: Doll, Kagerou (both released 2008)
* Best girlband: no Scandal (and idol groups shoudn't be there)

J-rock
* Best solo: Mami Sasazazki (unlike Rina she did not played in any J-rock band)

they did win the best girl band in 2010 and a landslide victory during 2011 for the jpop category, hope they will have a repeat for 2012.... Strange though they are not in the girlband category in which they won twice in a row for 2010 and 2011

The heck, I really don't understand that poll, so I guess you are right, sillentdx. I select the awards category 'J-POP', and in the scroll down menu I see singers like Fan Wei Qi, Fish Leong, Tanya Chua... I do not understand what Taiwanese, Malaysian or Singaporean singers do in a J-Pop poll? Especially not when the other categories are J-Rock and K-Pop. >_>

Or another thing, does anyone know, for example, MEILIN? She is in the Favourite Artist, Best Female Solo, Best Musical Ability, Sexiest Female Singer and the Most want-to-be girlfriend/boyfriend (what's this for category anyway?!) categories. Well, surprisingly I know her, but therefore I know she hasn't released anything after 2008, too! And before that, she released only 3 singles. Does she really has to be featured in those polls?

They really shouldn't make polls this large-scale, it really is a big mess. Who actually wants to win in there?

I don't understand about the poll categories or candidates but for few months that site has been good complete source for me to find info, Albums/singles discography, pv, and lyrics of SCANDAL.
Maybe not perfect but not so many like them available.
