Taylor Swift’s P.O.V:
Joshua Neil Farro was getting married to Jenna Lee Rice today. She was beautiful, but so unlike the girl that stood next to me. She was still in love with the man getting married here, she kept it bottled up inside, it was hard for her, and I hated to see her like this. Tears filled her eyes, and her petite figure was crumbled up on the floor in pieces, it seemed. ”Hayley” I started, no answer. I sighed, leaning down on my knees, my dress in the dirt, like I cared, I cared about Hayley, and only Hayley, at the moment, the dress could wait. We were hidden, and secluded by the tent around us, thankfully no one knew we were alone in here, and no one was probably looking for us, they were all concerned about Josh and Jenna, and that’s how it should of been.
”I don’t know why I still love him” she mumbled, bringing a hand up and wiping her tears, I bit my lip as I looked at her, pondering on what to say. A billion thoughts raced through my head, but as much as I tried to say them, I just couldn’t, I couldn’t make her already broken state worse. ”What do I do?” she cried, I still didn’t say anything, I couldn’t. ”Taylor?” she asked, wanting my opinions. Guess I had to say it. ”Listen.. You can speak now, or just keep everything bottled up inside forever, are you going to speak now?” I told her gently. She looked at me as if I was crazy, or had three heads - Maybe both. ”Are you crazy?!” She bellowed in sadness, ”I, I, that’d make his life horrible, I cant tell him I still love him, Jenna would hate me.” Hayley added quickly, sucking up her sadness and trying to look as if she wasn’t heart broken to be here. She quickly dried her tears with the sleeve of her long sleeved shirt with ruffles and stood back up. I patted her shoulder when I stood as well, straightening out my dress and brushing the light specks of dirt from it, and undoing the wrinkles from bending down and basically kneeling on it.
”He’s happy, that’s all-” She stated confidently.
“But you’re not” I cut her off, she looked up at me, surprised. My serious expression softened and I just sighed at her, fixing my straight hair as the wind blew by, pushing strands of it in my face. ”You’re hurting, you should just tell him how you feel, maybe he feels the same way and had no choice to do this?” I said before she could say anything to interrupt me. ”Oh” she simply muttered, tugging on the ruffles of her shirt nervously, more tears started to fill her eyes, but before she let them fall, I placed a hand on her shoulder again softly. ”Hey” I murmured, catching her glance. ”Everything’s gonna be alright, okay?” I reassured.
Hayley forced a smile, ”Taylor, you’re a really good friend”. That comment made me smile ”I try” I joked, trying to cheer her up, and I could tell it may of worked a little, cause her lips twitched up in a quick smile, but faded to nothing.
”Look at me” she dissed herself. ”I’m a wreck” Hayley pointed out to the smeared mascara and flushed face. ”Come here” I sighed, we stepped over to a chair and table that some food was placed on inside the tent, she sat in the chair, and I pulled out concealer, mascara, blush, and eyeshadow. ”Wow, you keep all that on you?” She said, shocked. I laughed dryly and grabbed a napkin from the food table, using it to wipe her smeared mascara, then I neatly applied the make up I had pulled out to her face. ”Good?” I questioned, she grabbed a spoon and used it to inspect her reflection. ”Great, thanks!” she exclaimed, pulling me in a quick hug. ”No problem, we should get out there.. ” I trailed off, her face fell again, but she managed not to tear up. Hayley walked out of the tent, and I later followed behind, to not make it look weird.
When I walked out, I didn’t see Hayley, I just seen crowds of people, who were talking, laughing, and crying tears of Joy at the same time. I rolled my eyes, turning quickly, only to bump into someone. Jeremy Davis. ”Hey” I breathed, gathering myself, ”Do you know where Hayley is?” I rushed. He nodded, ”She went that way” He pointed, and I didn’t stay long enough for him to ask why, I just quickly followed the way Jeremy had pointed, I don’t even know if I stopped to blink, I just surfed my eyes over Josh’s family, and friends, for the orange haired girl.
I noticed the back of her pony tail, in a secluded looking area behind a tree. Interested and intrigued by it, I creep’d near the tree, peeking my head behind it, only to see Josh and Hayley, a small smirk danced on my lips at the sight.
’She spoke now’ I thought.
There stood Josh and Hayley, his arms wrapped firmly around her, with her petite body pressed against his, their lips passionately moving against another’s. I pushed my hands from the tree and walked confidently away, keeping this little secret to myself, I didn’t know what would happen in the future, but whatever would, Josh was still getting married today, and it wasn’t to Hayley, and no matter what, she still loved him and was going to watch him get married to someone other than herself.
this made me cry.
