OMG I just listened to the Short PV Preview of Over Drive and it was friggin' awesome ... it's the sound i've been dreaming Scandal would do or somewhat like that.... can't wait now

I can answer that. That was the time of their Temptation Box Tour last 2010. That scene was after their last encore song, Scandal Baby ^w^

Based on the DVD content of Standard, I'm assuming that they will not make a PV for 「OVER DRIVE」 and they will do it for 「SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE」 instead.

Been looping for more than ten times now....I like the concept on focusing more on their vocals... Maybe the song is like telling what Scandal would be after that Osaka Jou Hall performance....

They always do PVs for the title tracks of their singles; I think that's pretty much a rule of thumb. And I'd assume they'd especially want to do it for this song since it was produced by a famous producer. The SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE PV might only be a DVD exclusive PV, just like SCANDAL no Theme was for BABY ACTION.

My my my, it is a good pop/rock song, I particularly love the piano part and the pictures in their radiant pure white suits are incredible classy and beautiful, especially Haruna: the way she looks, hands in pockets, shows her self-confidence, her pose is so great!^o^
I am looking forward the entire song and the PV, no doubt their will be awesome!^_^

Yay!! Love the preview, it definitely feels a bit like a Stereopony tribute as the song even feels like the same song by stereopony in terms of summer-y, pop-y melancholy. I'm glad they used instruments, but I'm also looking forward to Scandal in the House as it'll be something new and I want to see them dancing seriously! Hope it will be less electro and more hiphop but hopes not high.

Love the promo pic, Rina especially looks fantastic! Haruna's hair is a bit too big but I like her pose and the whole manly, suits thing going on, it's like a twist and relapse on the old uniform thing. It feels like they are putting a lot into this next single and album so I can't wait for Standard! :D

IMO the music sounds a little like western-ish? well, that's just me.

i'm in a good mood now. the song is great. i've been waiting for them to do something like this for a long time and glad they did. definitely going to get this single and the album....the preview was good.

and for the b-side.......i'm actually excited for it, because seriously exploring genres is awesome and i'm excited to see a side of SCANDAL that's refreshing and different. i'll be waiting for the song to come out. hehe

SCANDAL’s new song「OVER DRIVE」has been confirmed to release on 18th September 2013 (Wed).
「OVER DRIVE」is being produced by Nakata Yasutaka (CAPSULE), and is also the first time he is producing material for a band. Additionally, the coupling song is being produced by Kousaka Daimaou (Japanese comedic talent and DJ). It will also be the first time in SCANDAL’s history where all members will be taking the lead vocals, with no playing of instruments, a tune that’s very much purely dance-number-driven. This song is titled「SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE」.
The illustrator for the jacket covers is also by none other than Lily Franky. The song「OVER DRIVE」can also be found in the band’s 5th Album『STANDARD』, which has been confirmed to release on 2nd October (Wed).
Music provided by Nakata Yasutaka (CAPSULE)
An offer happened because the SCANDAL members were strongly interested in how Nakata Yasutaka’s pop sense can be infused into SCANDAL’s music. After that, they had a meeting with the man himself which resulted in the tune that is「OVER DRIVE」. After the band has achieved their goal of performing a successful one-man live at the Osaka-Jo Hall on 3rd March 2013, their dream has finally came true and you can see how everything has resulted in this pop song.
Lily Franky’s Jacket Cover Illustrations
SCANDAL has been in contact with Lily Franky ever since performing at his event (Year 2010’s「Zanjibaru NIGHT」) and also when they’d debuted. In April this year, Lily Franky also presented SCANDAL with a letter on nationwide TV when SCANDAL guested for a special programme. In that letter contained illustrations of the SCANDAL members. The members liked it so much they asked for them to be used as this time’s jacket covers, in which (Lily Franky) readily agreed.
Kousaka Daimaou Produce
Knowing how concerned Kousaka Daimaou is for SCANDAL on Twitter, the members, as well as the fact that he’d been active in music previously, the band offered him an collaboration offer to produce some music. It became a party song in which all members of SCANDAL will be singing, and also the first time that they will not be performing (with instruments).

The preview looks very nice! Already like the song.

About the b-side I'm not sure what to expect but I think I don't really care if it's pop, or rap or dubstep, etc. I just hope that if they go that way for that b-side/pv they will take a "dobondobondo" approach and not be too serious about it.

I mean if they do a rap/dance/dubstep song it would be weird to see them being all serious, dressed like rappers and all and be like "yes this a serious song, the lyrics are deep we love rap/dance, etc". Not sure if you understand what I mean. The Donbondobondo songs/PV are great because it's clearly funny and they don't take it seriously at all.

Anyway this looks really GREAT and I can't wait to hear the full song, the b-side and the PV!! .love.
