Hi all SCANDAL HEAVEN gamers.. who likes Fire Emblem series.. I juts bought 3DS lately and my first game interest is Fire Emblem Awakening.. I played the two NDS game before and the GBA too.. there is a lot new thing in the 3DS.. like DLC and marriage system, etc.

I wonder how to download the DLC content.. Is it need a credit card? And I'm living in Indonesia.. I think it is not supported region.. My 3DS region setting is set to Singapore.. the nearest country. Is there anyway I could get the DLC content??

The DLC content you need a credit card to pay some money into 3DS account... they may have prepaid cards as well. I'm not so sure about the regions. Sorry.

OK.. thanks FYI.. the 3DS sold in my country is Asia region.. been tried to connect to Nintendo zone but it is said "your country is not supported" (or whatever.. kinda forget the detail)

But I still curious if the DLC content and region locked.. I'd really want to see the other characters from the previous series..

I highly doubt that it is region locked but I find it a little strange that you can't get the DLC content.
The DLC gate where you can get your DLC content should appear after chapter 4.

If you are interested in recruiting characters from the other previous Fire Emblem games, you don't have to get the DLC content. 

I don't have 3DS on me right now, but if I recall, you can go to the Bonus Box section and fight against characters from the previous Fire Emblem games. If you defeat them in battle, you can have the opportunity to hire them.

I must apologize again because I can't seem to figure out what your problem is. Hope this somehow helps.

OK.. Fisrt my 3DS is set to Singapore in the region setting.. why? because ther is no option for Indonesia.. so I choose the nearest country.. well I can choose Malaysia too..

Second.. yeah I've already passed chapter 4 and the Outrealm Gate is open.. but when I tried to buy the DLC map it is daid like this:
"Error code: 009-1002
This service is cannot be used in your region at this time. we apologize for the inconvenience."

Does it mean I have to go to Singapore?? Since my 3DS is set to Singapore

Maybe try changing to Japan region, North American or Euro countries.

If the problem persists, I think it's best if you went on a gaming website and explain your problem there. I think you'll get a better answer there.

I bought my 3DS a few days ago and also Fire Emblem. I'm a huge fan of the series and can't wait to start it after my exam!

I also have Fire emblem and I'm at the 20th chapter!
But I just wonder: is it really useful to pay for the DLC content?

The DLC content is nice for grinding purposes and knowing a little bit of the story (side stories). You can get additional characters from previous Fire Emblem titles and additional skills/classes that are not available from the original story.

The one I think is nice is the Infinite Regalia's package (I think it's called the Golden Package). It has exp boosts, lots of gold, legendary weapons and a silver card. 

Skills to look out for are Paragon, Iote's Shield and Limit Breaker.

^ I see, thanks a lot. But in the previous Fire Emblem, are there characters broken like Olivia? Because I think this character is just too strong (besides the avatar) xD

In my opinion, all the characters are broken mainly due to the DLC abuse (Golden Package). All the characters have the potential of maxing out every stat. The RNG for me made some characters great like Lissa, Morgan, Vaike, Chrom, Lucina, and Cordeila. 

But in the previous Fire Emblem titles in Awakening, personally, the only character that I have attempted to use was Nephenee mainly because I'm a fanboy xD. 

The cool thing though with the characters in the bonus box is that they can class change into anything, just like the avatar

 I agree with you on that .rage. 
It's interesting to grind, to grow up... and then, after you can make set like Limit Break-Galeforce-Aegis-Pavise-Sol, becomes to be routine.

I dunno, but the sereneforest website will tell you how much it is depending on your region. But it is roughly 6-7 dollars if I recall (without tax).

And yes I play six sams, it's my favourite deck .  Personally, I find that people HATE them xD..

Indeed, in the begninning I hated them because it was the only one deck in the meta', but now, they don't bother me, so I like them
My favorites decks are Quickdraw, and Madolche

^I'll be honest, I don't know know much about Maldoches. I know that the Tiramisu is a good card. Quickdraws... man I hate the drill warrior + dandylion combo. Annoying =\. 

Other decks I like are Monarchs and Heroes.

From Awakening, I bought the special edicion with 3DSXL and artbook very beautiful <3

At the moment I finished the game story 3 times xP Now I'm busy with all new maps ^^

Just got a 3DS XL today on sale. I already have Shin Megami Tensei IV and am looking for Fire Emblem Awakening to get the $30 Nintendo eShop credit for registering both games (unfortunately for most of you, it's for the United States and Canada only). I played Path of Radiance years ago and am currently playing Shadow Dragon on the DS. I like what I've played so far of the FE series, so I look forward to this one too.

^You should play Radiant Dawn! It's way better than Path of Radiance in my opinion.

But try and get Awakening. You won't be disappointed.

My brother just bought a 3DS and we're currently playing Awakening. I'm super into it, so I was wondering which game is the first one of the series, and which one do you all like the most?

^ I don't think the first Fire Emblem was ever released in North America. The first one that we were introduced to was Fire Emblem 7, The Blazing Sword (Lyndis, Hector, Eliwood), followed by Sacred Stone and then Path of Radiance. 

The first one that was release I think had Marth as the protagonist... and I believe that  it is the remake on the DS called Shadow Dragon. The other ones with Leif as the Protagonist can only be played on the Super Nintendo emulator and the game is fan based translated. If you do attempt to play it, be warned. It is the hardest Fire Emblem game in the series (Tharia 776 I think it's called).

To answer your question, I like Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword.  (It's 7 in the Series) It's the first Fire Emblem I played and I was introduced to this great series thanks to that game.

I'm change the title of this topic and make it the main destination for all stuff FIRE EMBLEM! Great game series.
