I think it's more 30g than 30kg (or maybe they send you a lot of gifts with it hehe). Maybe the box of DVD version is "heavier" than the bluray's one. I know that for a "classic" bluray, the box is different than a dvd box.

Scandal has twice now put BD's in standard DVD cases (not just Budokan, but Video Action too).  I think they do it so that people who have previously collected their other videos that weren't available on BD will have a consistent-looking collection.  Believe it or not, this is actually something I see people complain about in reviews on Japanese sites when bands do the opposite, although some people on Amazon also complained about Video Action being in a standard case.  They kinda can't win either way.  But I would expect this to continue with the Osaka-jo Hall BD, since they've done it twice.  No guarantees, but that'd be my prediction.

So I have no idea why there'd be a weight difference between the two versions... unless that's just a mistaken assumption that the box will be different.  I don't know how any web site knows how much these are going to weigh yet.

I would love more than the version on the classic bluRay come in DVD case for my taste is much better than BluRay boxes

The DVD covers, from CDJ. They're exactly the same, just that "Wonderful Tonight/SCANDAL" is written in pink for the regular edition, and written in blue for the Blu-ray.

IMO the design is kind of lame. The pictures of the girls are awesome but the "Wonderful Tonight" gives a nightclub kind of feeling. .wew.  Also, SCANDAL should've been positioned on top of "Wonderful Tonight" with bigger letters compared with what's on the cover. Well, that's just me.

I like it. It's much better than vs. budokan.

well some parts could have been better. like what was mentioned SCANDAL could have been larger but i'm not having much gripes about that, and I think the use of shadows was slightly too heavy esp in haru and tomo's pics. maybe it's just me, but the cover gave me the feeling that each photo was edited by different people.

still, I think this is better than the budokan dvd simply due to the fact that they actually use their pictures instead of caricatures. wasn't really a fan of the budokan cover

Eh, it's a cover. It could be a plain black box with the title on it for all I care.

Haha spacecadet yeah, but for most of people it's still important especially because many like to make a collection. So having a nice cover is important but obviously it's difficult to please everybody!

It's cool to have a nice cover but I also agree with spacecadet, if the content is great, the cover is not that important.

Although I've seen it on Youtube but allready preordered the Blu-Ray edition!!

I probably care about the cover a little more than I said originally, but I don't think it's really all that important on a DVD/BD because it's mostly their pre-existing fans that buy DVD's. It's not usually a new buyer's first purchase. They only sell about 10-15,000 of these each time.

That said, I do feel like they've been getting a little "sloppy" lately, for lack of a better word. Without getting off-topic into other issues, I'll say that I at least agree about this DVD/BD that the band name being so small on the label is an obvious problem. The "Wonderful Tonight" title treatment itself is a judgment call but it's not what I would have picked for them either, and I'm a little surprised someone would design and/or approve that who really knew the band all that well. It's kind of cabaret-like.

The pics individually I'm fine with, although there's something about them together that doesn't quite work. I understand why the order is the way it is, but the color and brightness balance ends up being off. That's probably why Tomomi's picture looks a little overly shadowed, so Rina looks brighter in comparison. Otherwise you'd end up with one warm color/bright side (the left) and one cold color/dark side (the right). But it does look a little kludgy overall.

Anyway this is a long post after my earlier super-short post, but I don't think any of us are going to decide not to buy this because of the cover, and we're the target audience (and fans like us in Japan, of course). So I don't think it matters that much. I just pre-ordered my BD.

The pictures are like edited in Instagram or something. It's okay for me though cuz its the content that matters.

But, I do agree with the points given by the buys above XD

relamente I share with many of you that the cover is not really good

but as stated Spacecadet above, for the target audience, that we are fans of the band simply could have left a black cover art, and probably buy the same. the content is what really has value

I was told the DVD / Blu-Ray have special angles captured by the Go-Pro camera mounted on their guitars (as well as those on mic stands). Gonna check it out soon!
