Attended Ozine Fest 2013 and saw her promoting her cd to be honest I'm a little hesitant to buy it because I'm speculating that the songs are more into the Kpop dance music (no offense to those who love the genre). So I take my time clicking away with my trusty digicam just then when I was about to walk away suddenly she was in front of me less than a meter away holding her first mini album.... can't remember the details my mind went into the "shut up and take my money" mode.

After listening to it glad that I bought it, One thing I really like in the album is that the acoustic version of each song is included rather than the off vocal or instrumentals. Love all the songs my personal favorite is Shooting Star

Mayumi Gomez is a 21 year-old Solo artist (singer/songwriter) residing in Manila. She's also a Cosplayer, print/ramp model, event host, dancer, and fashion designer.

What? You were at OzineFest? XD;; I wish we met in person as I was working at the event as the (long blonde-hair'd that looks like a rocker) stage audio / video technical staff (just like most Ozine events).

I have to agree with you. I like Mayumi's "Shooting Star" the best in her mini-album. Her music in her mini-album reminds me of my current favorite local singer / songwriter, Yeng Constantino. She said so herself that it had become same sound with Yeng, but with a mix of Japanese techno pop like Perfume's.

I actually have known Mayumi a long time ago in the local otaku community before her stage name change (as she was a member of KPop dance cover group, Cloud9, also the 2nd vocalist of the K-ON cover band, Evening Tea Time, before her stage name change). But yeah, I honestly hang out with her older sister more. Though it's kinda cool she remembers me.

As I've seen how she made her mini-album release possible, I'm very happy for her hardwork. Not that I intend to compare her with more well known people but, the difference of her with Alodia is that Mayumi is really hardworking. I've worked with her when she was the host in that Asian Music event, Pop Culture Fest. Not to mention, I remember last Cosplay Mania 12 that her staff at flippish.com asked permission to the director of the 2nd stage (me) for a shoot in our stage, during our rest time. She really works hard. Alodia, on the other hand, had very good connections of the more known people, to get her product, herself to made known. Mayumi, on the other hand, works hard to make herself well known. I honestly admire her for that.

I really like Mayumi's debut cd thankful that she opted to create her own music rather than capitalizing on what is popular...

My heart skip a beat with Mayday's intro I played it with our 80s JVC amp I thought our neighbors' house are burning.

Habulan really reminds me of the good old school OPM songs of the late 80's to mid 90's the days where I saved daily allowance to buy "song hits" (song magazine with lyrics and chords, and centerfold poster)
