Here's one that people need to check out. It only aired one season back in the 1980's in my region. I don't know if they ever had any follow-up seasons. It was called The Mighty Orbots. It was pretty much another spin off of Transformers and/or such. It featured five robots that combined to create one huge robot.

I know, you're thinking, "That's just Voltron." However, Mighty Orbots (1984) was released the year before Voltron (1985).

I grew up watching the following:
