Hi all - it's that time of the year again.

For anyone following the covers released by SHCB, you may be wondering why the announcement of a new project thread will be imminent. I guess there are people in the band itching to play at the mo while we wait for the Sunday Drive and Image projects to be completed. I also note a few new applicants for SHCB and am looking forward to see if any of you guys are interested to participate in the next project.

As described in a previous post, project #18 is FREEDOM FIGHTERS. Please see https://www.scandal-heaven.com/t7772p400-general-discussion#747467

There is a slight change in the way rostered band members are to throw their names in the hat to volunteer for the next project.

1. The band had already given consideration for a particular SHCB member to do the vocal part for FREEDOM FIGHTERS (congrats, Furritsu). So, places for guitars, bass and drums are up for grabs.

2. The thread for the new project will be posted soon and you may only volunteer at 1600GMT, Sunday 26 March 2017.

Please Google "GMT TIME CONVERTER" to find out what your local time will be, eg 1600 GMT translates to 0900 hrs Pacific Standard Time.

Every post on SH has a time stamp, and any post saying "I wanna play guitar etc" BEFORE 1600 GMT will not be considered for the project.

(Sorry for making these bold paragraphs - had to do it so none of you would have excuses for not reading 'em lol)

I will post the link for the new project thread soon-ish, but please remember to not post anything before 1600GMT 26.3.17 yeah? Good luck!

Can I change my vote? I would like to switch from Hello Hello to Shunkan Sentimental.

I just want to suggest if you want to cover one of their songs. Make your own arrangement if possible. Because you can't call it a cover if the arrangement of the notes is the same as the original notes.  (Sorry for my bad english)

I shall be pedantic here, but a cover is defined in the Collins English Dictionary merely as "a version of (a song) recorded by a singer or band who did not originally perform the song", and the definition does not include an alternative arrangement.

But we have some ideas as you suggested hopefully in the works, so don't you fret - a reggae version of, say... Awanai may probably just come your way in the future, so watch this space.
