I saw their Sakura goodbye pv on Animax Musix and I liked it already, the chorus is so catchy..and they're too kawaii for words..

I think it should be how i discover scandal. Anyway, it's because of the new ED of FMA brotherhood. The song was great and I search for it on youtube and then learned that SCANDAL is the artist. Not that hooked, until i saw the pretty face of Haruna on the PV of the song. And then I started to search for their other songs and I realized they have more songs as good as shunkan sentimental. just a new fan here but I will forever be a fan of them. HARUNA ftw!!!

I thought this thread was about meeting the band, not discovering them. Oh well, I heard Doll through Japansugoi.com. Immmediately hunted down everything they had.

And to answer a very old question on this post, I think they named themselves Scandal after the name of a porn film being made in the building they used to practise in. I'm sure that's what they said in the interview vid on myspace.

a sort of cabaret or "kyabakura"(you know... the night club with sexy host ladies who treat you like a king...) is the one they named themselves after.
and yeah.. the cabaret was located in the same building with the studio they used to practice in.
they said they just liked the signboard saying "SCANDAL"... what can i say, huh?
and i assume that TOMOMI is the one who first point-fingered on the signboard and said "this is it !!" .dance.

Yes, this is correct. I also recall seeing this interview.

The first time I've seen Scandal, was from the 10th OP of Bleach.

My friend played one of their songs and it caught my heart like "Omg! How freakin' awesome they sound!.omg. "

And they are the reason why I continued watching bleach (I stopped around bount part cause it got boring :p)

It started off like this,
I was watching K-On and searching around youtube for Don't Say Lazy(K-On ending song) and stumble upon the live cover by SCANDAL.
After watching the whole video, i found that they sang de song better then the original.
A little more digging in youtube for their PVs and lives got mi hook to SCANDAL drug. .happy.

A website called Japan Sugoi. They posted the Doll vid. I saw these four girls slamming it hard and I was hooked!

I heard on opening de bleach. but I think I first saw the tour USA

it's when i watch animax music i saw them...
then i try to fnd their songs....

I'm a long time fans of japanese music and i'm a longer time fans of anime. My main biggest passion is music in general (i'm also a singer too, i even have my youtube channel for my song covers under Drakis07).

Well each time i hear a song that i like, i'm always making research on the artist like, who they are and what kind of others songs and music they make. If i like a lot what i see and hear i'm becoming a fan of that artist.

Lot of my favorite asians artist that i love were discovered with song from anime and it's the same with SCANDAL.

It's was with the 4th ending "Shunkan Sentimental" of fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood (i'm a huge fan of all anime of fullmetal alchemist).

Like i said if i like a song, i do reseach on the artist and i did like a lot what i've learned of SCANDAL and what kind of music and songs they make.

And more songs and PV that i listened and watched (god bless youtube) more i loved SCANDAL and Haruna, Tomomi, Rina and Mami got very cool personnality too.

I would add that even if they are very young (compare to me at least) they are very good musicians, singers and artists and their talents are almost beyond their ages.

That's when, how, and why i love SCANDAL. .uhuh.

I forgot to say that now i got all PV, single and album of SCANDAL now, most of them are just digital thou, but i do own a physical CD+DVD Best*SCANDAL album (hong-kong version thou) and i'm a fan of them since only 1 month.

Well, the 1st time I listened SCANDAL was at Bleach Opening but after that, is the same story as monogrith7. .lol.

well im a scandal fan thx to my friend.. we collect all anime pv from their artist and he showed to me shoujo s..

i immediately captivated by haruna and the rest is history... nao im more of a scandal fan than my friend lol

I find it elsewhere.... in a more adult oriented streaming site .silence.

The thing now every time someone see the file name "Scandal" in my psp, ipod or pc most of them will conclude that it is a real scandal and will give me an odd look .whiteflag.
