hey jibba, just an idea, but you should use an order on the record, you'll get a better sync
can trust me, we've tried record in the free for all in the first cover(before Sakura goodbye), and we didn't get a good sync

Hey joseph, i appreciate the concern
But I had a look at why sakura didn't work, and found that it was because the instruments were recorded at a faster speed than the original track. And then the vocals recorded at the speed of the original track.

I'll make sure that doesn't happen when I record it ^^

1st - we had a little issues at sakura, but it DID work
and we know this, this is why we start to record the instruments IN ORDER
2nd - we decided that we won't do nothing 'till we finish ShoujoS, I don't know if you could start this one without graffixron approval

you know, we all agreed that we'll make all together, we decided not split ourselves into subunits
even with all the member different, we should work together
we're supposed to be a band, we don't make things by our own, but you are doing

I'm using SH members from the roster, it's definitely not a sub-unit, I'm not splitting anyone off as a 'rival cover band' we're still part of the group.

I don't see the issue in working together with other people from the roster to make sure everyone's involved, not just the same group of people again and again.
If it pleases you, I won't publish anything, mix anything, move a finger until you have finished Shoujo'S
But the members will continue to practice their parts by themselves and get them ready for recording next week.

I'm looking forward to the finished product of Shoujo'S

Allow me to clarify a few things. I recorded the Sakura drum track by syncing a click track to the INSTRUMENTAL version of Sakura and allowing the other members to record their tracks to the standard/vocal version. Think they are the same? Nope... they are not. Once I figured that out I had Joseph and Dave work with me on fixing the problem. I also know that computer processors and clock speeds on those processors can alter the time signatures for recording and playback. It is subtle and can not be detected by human ears but they are there.

@Joseph I don't see a problem with this being done. The only members here that are taking part in Shoujo S as well are the vocalists. The instrumentals can all still be recorded beforehand, as Vocals are usually recorded last anyway.

I've worked with Jibba on a few covers in the past doing exactly as he described and we've had no problems. It's just a case of people getting the timing correct.

We should learn from our mistakes, so that our covers in the future are the best they can be!
I hope the order method does solve the problems you first encountered

Having said that, I believe Beauteen will still work even if I do it like i've suggested. It's worked when i've done it before

That's cool! As said in the other thread, I think my bass needs some toning down a bit. And Alex' guitar up a bit. XD Then it's perfect.
