Once again while i was going back home from training, some guys asked „what You training?”
Simple answer „Archery” made them lough. They said that's easy, everyone can shoot from bow. They wonted to try with mine, but as I sad it's lafthanded, it was and of conversation. Didn,t have to explaind them that my Samick Polaris is much diffrent from stick and string which almoust everyone used as a child.
You wonna try with real bow? First find an archery club, where coach will give you (or should in my opinion) the weekest bow and some arrows, and will teach you how to do it correctly. This tricks in movies mostly are not possible to be done. Eg. You wont shoot the target with two arrows released at once. One of them can hurt somebody wathing what you try to do. Or bounce flaying arrow by sword. It's too fast and You will be shoot if try that.
Another thing: NEVER buy any bow or arrows by your self and then go to club. Wont have your own equipment, first talk with coach, he should help you choose right bow, arrows, dative or stabilizer.
Without istructions and help with eliminate errors with coach or other player, who is training for some time, You get hurt your self.
I'm in UKS Grot for 9 months now and my first start in tournament was this year on Mother's Day:) It was First Round of Polish Cup in Field Archery. Was 3rd in my category of age and bow. Witch new type of arrows, which I did't shoot with before tournament. And there was only three Men Senior with Classical bow:
