I'm glad I took the time to check and make sure. I'd probably say that AC/DC is maybe one of Mami-chan's influences. But still cool I used to listen to AC/DC alot back in the 1980s.

Caless StudentMami-chan's short guitar solo about 2 minutes and 20 seconds into the song. (Shoujo S)
You can hear the guitar rift throughout the AC/DC song.
Here's another link because YouTube sucks. I'm apparently lock out of watching videos dunno why. They're trying to tell me that Google is having problems with my IP address. Yet I can still use Google freely. Just can't access YouTube.

Indie ArtistI'm sorry for bumping this thread, but I just thought it would be fun to share another example of influences. It seems pretty clear to me that MAMI is heavily influenced by Ace Frehley from KISS.
Just listen to the intro to Pin Heel Surfer, and then to Parasite by KISS.

Rina mentioned in the blog post about the HW song meanings that "Oyasumi" was meant to have elements of "shoegaze", and the guitar tremolo technique used in that song is the same one pioneered by Kevin Shields (and Bilinda Butcher, who he taught it to) in My Bloody Valentine:
Wait for the verses, where you can both hear and see it in action.
I wish there was someplace legal that I could embed "Oyasumi" for those who haven't heard it but you can listen to a preview on Amazon or iTunes or whatever.
This is sort of the signature MBV sound and they've long been one of the standard-bearers for the shoegaze genre, so I'm quite sure this is where Rina got the idea. MBV did tour Japan in 2013, although she could have been exposed to them really at any time - they've been around since the late 80's. This is actually a live video shot at the 2008 Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, where you can easily hear the same technique:
I don't usually hear such an obvious influence in many of their songs and this was a surprising one to me.

Don't forget that Haruna loves electronic dance music acts such as LMFAO and Mami is a fan of The Foo Fighters.
