There probably will be, but not any time soon. They may decide to have a third season featuring the original four members of Hokago Tea Time, and a separate series for the wakaba Girls.Having both sides in one series would be pretty messy.

Hope they'll continue the series...

I heard they're gonna focus on Azunyan, Ui and the new club members instead of Yui and the rest in university if there is a sequel.

Would be interesting to see the Wakaba Girls in action. Might be a little hard to follow the HTT line since their college arc is pretty complicated and includes more characters.

I love all of them.. but there's one that holds the biggest part in my heart Mio-sama!!! ^_^

She's just too adorable and so funny!! Plus I love listening to her sing!! :D

I picked Azusa, but Mio would easily be second. The girl who does her vocals has a strong voice. It's awesome.

Mio, is my favorite for the very first time I watch the anime. I hoping for Season 3 too. in the manga the story continues up to they're college.

I cannot choose one between Yui, Mio and Azusa so I didn't vote on the poll. xD I like them all, especially their instruments. I think it's evident that I picked all the guitarists again. Well, I admit that am always guitarist/bassist biased. Any will do, as long as it's a guitar player.

K-On!! is just always fun to watch. Hope there will be another season, I'm interested on what happened after their graduation.

I think I discovered K-On!! pretty much at the same time I discovered SCANDAL (or maybe soon after). The similarities between this anime and our beloved band are uncanny !

I watched the movie a few weeks ago and just like you it reminded me of SCANDAL's USA tour a lot. Especially near the end of the movie (spoiler alert ?), when they are running with their luggage to catch their plane. It was exactly like on one of their live DVD bonus or documentary, when the girls (from SCANDAL this time) were running to catch their train.

Mio is by far my favorite K-On!! character (but I also like the 4 others very much). And probably for similar reasons than Mami is my favorite SCANDAL member. Ok, Mami plays guitar and is blonde now, but they share a kind of "mysterious" or intriguing vibe. They prefer to stay a little in the back, not in the light. They both seem to have a world of their own (if that makes any sense).

I hope we can see more of the original four members of Hokago Tea Time and Mio-sama in a third season of K-On!!

absolutely mio... i even try to learn playing left hand bass.... 
and unfortunately.... i didn't learn..

i voted for YUI, even that i love all the characters, still hoping for the third season

They could make a season 3 with two one shots that have come out, but I have my doubts.
