I feel the same way about Departure. At the acoustic live, they played it a little more slowly, and I really paid attention to the lyrics. The line that you have in your signature really hit me, since we had to part ways with them soon, but we all hoped to see them again someday.fredrickfx wrote:Definitely Departure. At first I thought it was an okay song but after hearing an acoustic version of it live in Hawaii, I was blown away. Haru put so much emotion into the song (she sang the first verse and the chorus by herself) that I could see and feel it. I was almost tearing up. It was really beautifully played. It was also the last song they played for us on their last night with us that made it even more bittersweet.

Caless Student@GeoFreak: Yeah man, I remember not being able to read the lyrics at first cause all the feelings were resurfacing again. Such a fitting song to send us off with though, I'm glad they didn't leave it out just because they played it at the Ekiden concert like everyone thought they would.

I also completely agree with what you guys said about the acoustic version of Departure.
Oh, and most recently, Your Song is doing a pretty darn good job of giving me feels. I think that was the first time I've teared up listening to a happy song.

@Racheiru: AAAAH! I just finished listening to Your Song all the way through and felt the same way you did. I've never really heard an upbeat song that both picks you up and tears you up like that.

Rina is my favorite, I play bass myself, and I love Haruna's singing, but... I about fall out of my chair every time I hear Mami singing.

Definitely this song. It basically sings my current situation for me ~~
I want to meet you, meet you now
Although we are separated and you are far away
I still remember the smiling you

Caless StudentI have a few Scandal songs that have really touched me.
Awanai Tsumori, Genki de ne because I recently decided to give up completely on the guy who hurt me a lot. The title itself, is basically what I told him. I've been listening to this song a lot recently.
SAKURA Goodbye because I had to say goodbye to a lot of my friends a few years ago. They're all away for university and I only see them a few times a year.
Bright is another one of my favourites because of the lyrics:
"I'm a bit afraid of being happy
It's like trying to catch white clouds
Even the utmost loneliness can be hidden by love
Let an unknown melody fill in the gaps"
I can relate to this a lot. Maybe too much.

Ah I should really start following topics so I can actually see replies aha Anyways, really late but yeah, it's such a strange feeling! Being able to read the lyrics at the same time was great and it could really pick me up on a bad day.

Caless StudentKoe. Especially the acoustic live Mami did at 360. I get teary eyed every time I listen to it. Mami just sang it with so much soul, I guess, that it impacts me every time ><

Right now, Haruka (Faraway) means a lot to me. I dedicate this song to my mom who passed away in 1996 and my dad who died last February, as well as my special friend who is currently based in Canada.
While, the song Playboy and its music video remind me of my busy final year in the university when I had a brief stint in the varsity soccer team and the theater guild.

Caless Studentgenki de ne! not because I relate to the lyrics or because it makes me sad. It was the first SCANDAL song I listened to. Every time I hear it I get the biggest smile.
Its just an absolutely incredible song.
which is odd because pretty much all my other cd's are heavy metal. There's just something a little bit magical about SCANDAL

Secret Base and Harukaze by SCANDAL.
Secret Base after all was the first song of SCANDAL I've ever heard. Harukaze on the other hand, if I am to describe it, it's cold, well that probably is the effect of listening to Harukaze constantly on December 2012. And it reminds me too of lots of things in the past. Nostalgia plus the effect of December, Harukaze would be really cold.
Although, I really love that Spring Breeze, my and our Spring Breeze.

In the morning, let the sun give you enough warmth which my love fails to do. And at noon, let the wind carry my felicitations and bring it to you. With louder sounds, bury it more, until only our hearts can hear that song which plays only between the two of us. If possible, make the night darker until our emotions are radiant enough to be seen.
This clock which ticks differently on the two of us, hasten its pace so that our paths may converge in the future. This clock which fills me with sorrow as it reminds of how impossible it is for me to even see you, hasten its pace so that my sorrows would be drowned. Let me sleep therefore, so that I could prepare for tomorrow, as I did today, in making these thoughts and aspirations materialize. So let me sleep then, so that your presence would give me hints in accomplishing these goals.
