i played FF7 DOC (Dirge Of Cerberus),and FF ???(forget,the hero is tidus)
i can't play another Final Fantasy,my console is only PS2
Vincent Valentine is my favorite chara

^ you mean FFX.. why don't you try the old PSone classics (I feel weird saying this) like FFVII, VIII, or IX? and FFXII is also on the PS2.. (oh, forgot about FFX-2.. .whistle. )

I was never too sure about FFX-2, it was fun to go back and revisit the old places from FFX, but it was a bit of a chic-flic having to play a girlie !

But FF7,8,9,10 and FF12 were all good fun !

but,my PSone is broken,now i want to try it on my PC using emulator

I love final fantasy
i Played a lil bit of I and V then finished VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, and currently playing XIII hehe

i could give a long list of why ff7 is the best in terms of storyline & charater devoulpment but, it would be a very very very long lecture =p

I'll put it simple, FF7 out of all the FF games MIMICS our Reality more so then the othere series. lets look at a few key points
1) super soilders (uummm yeh they been doing that for a llllooonngg time now)
2) over harvesting earths resources
3) our energy (source) recyles n returns to the earth for new life, not our soul flys off to the sky
4) Jenova (Jehova) Not all that came from the sky & claim divinity are our savior
5) corruption from goverments n corperations
6) mistaken identitie
7) jenova project = alien-human hybrid programs (like the grey alien hybrids)
8) faulse flag operations (Rufus is the one whom funded AVALANCE to over throw he's dad)
9) Aerith (Spiritualist, seer, druid, call it what you want, but she is indeed special)
10) now ima just pump in all the othere raw emotions from love passion hope to despair anger and remorse.

Playing from Crisis core up too dirge of cerebus, it adds alot of gaps, and no matter which side of the fence you surport it seems like near enough all charaters have had some tragic event take place.

FFX was the first video game I played where I actually knew what to do, and I loved it. Spent 200 hours playing it a total of 4 times through. I cried every time To Zanarkand started playing....... So every time I started it up basically

Went back to play I,II,IV,V,VII,VIII

Played XII ...... Saw my friend die on the last boss while using a game shark so I stopped cause I knew my guys were under lvled and I needed to restart

hope XIII-2 will add the rpg elements around the cool battle system they created

And the dev team that would want to remake VII is busy with Versus XIII (hope it will happen cause IV has been remade a bunch of times)

Just bought Dissidia XD

FFX is my fav.

rumor is ps4 is next year some time due to ps3 poor sales.
my theorie is FF7 remake will wait till ps4 since its been beg to be redone so many times now that they might aswell just wait 1 more upgrade of consoles befor making it.

pretty much all of them due to NES & SNES roms, I got origonal 7 with dirge n crisis core im missing befor crisis =( but i own 10, 11, 12, 13, dissidia 1. FF tattics remake.

tattics is my 2nd favorite in terms of story, 3rd is FF13.

But yeh I can see where You question is leading....Iv played them all enough to give then a equal chance at winning over My heart but they just didnt make it, if I load up a SNES game I rather play Senkien duetsu 3.

iv played 8 n 9 even owned them but the games i listed i still own to date.
8 wasnt so bad i just think it was alittle meh.
9 was the worse by far imo.

prior 8s releas there was a HUGE hype it was gonna break the RPG trend and be souly around a intense love story, but for the 1st 3 cds it was like :Squall "I hate you all"! CD4 = :Squall " OMFG I LOVE RHIONA"!

9 just failed on every level. to get the guard captians best weapon u needed to get to cd in like 6hrs? O.o eewww

Ive always wanted to play one but i think its pointless for me too now because there is soo many of them so i dont think i would catch on to the story

^ lol dude, the stories of each installment are all not connected! its "Final" Fantasy because each story is final.. Well at least that was the original intention but there are other special cases like FFX-2 for FFX etc.

I recommend you try it dude.. start with the PSone classics like FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX..

P.S. the game worlds were connected in the psp game Dissidia but that was just for the fans..

Only played Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX.

Final Fantasy VII is my favorite because of Sephy, but I actually enjoyed playing through Final Fantasy IX the most. VIII isn't too bad either, but it just didn't hit me as hard as the other 2. The song "Eyes On Me" is really good though.

I was pretty disappointed in Final Fantasy XIII due to the mechanized summons. Gone were the dragons and creatures made of flesh and blood (excluding Alexander...), and they introduced vehicles and machines in place of those creatures.

I even joked with my friends about how Odin turned soft...here is a warrior proudly riding on his steed, cutting through everything inflicting instant death, and what do we have in Final Fantasy XIII? Not only did he lost the ability to end battles in one fell swoop, he actually morphs into a horse and let someone ride on top of him...as a player who loved to summon Odin in most of his battles in the previous Final Fantasies, it's just sad to know how people rode on top of the legendary warrior's back as if it's the way things should be.

Oh how I've missed the Zantetsuken and...*blink*

But I'm not gonna' say XIII s*cks since I haven't played it, I just don't feel attracted to it.

By the way, Dissidia and Dissidia: Duodecim are brilliant games...definitely categorized as my favorites.

WeLL the first FinaL Fantasy i pLayed was FF9..... Love aLmost every aspect of that game. even i agree that FF7 is better but FF9 stiLL my favorite..... maybe it's because Vivi.... his magic skiLL is so cooL and his characteristic is somehow adorabLe...
MeLodies of Life is great soundtrack aLso. Nobuo Uematsu-san reaLLy genius

my favorite part is FFX i love the story and i love every character.
the fight against SIN and to test the friendship between everyone is great.
after fighting tons of hours i beat sin and wow there´s still more to do .clap.
beat every black bestia and beat the penance.
AWESOME nothing more then AWESOME is this game.
i dont really like FF13 but i wait for FF13 versus.

I really agree about FFX, I liked all the characters.
There is romance, action and everything.
I still laugh over Rikku taking her clothes off in front of Tidus by the river and love the romantic scene between Yuna and Tidus in the forest pool !
I even bought the Japanese version as well because the Japanese voices were so cool !

FFVII is still my favourite for story and characters, even if the graphics were naff by modern standards.

But I was really disappointed by XIII and it is the only FF game I have never completed because I lost interest !

Even FFX-2 was better than that even if it was like a 'chic flic' !

All of it. Why? One simple answer. "Epic Storylines."
