which club do you support? and why? any long-time heroes in your supported club?

Club: Liverpool FC, England
Why: that time i was young, and i saw Micheal Owen and Robbie Fowler, and their awesome atmosphere and fantastic football, and the rest is history.

Heroes: Steven Gerrard. trademark long shots, powerful, fantastic captain, enough said.

Club: Chelsea FC, England

Surprisingly, I didn't started to like them during Mourinho's era. His philosophy did bring trophies, but not flair. After he departed, their display in both EPL and UCL were impressive, showing resilience against Manchester United in both competitions. Despite Man. U eventually won both competitions, their heroic efforts won my support. Ultimately, their ability to bounce back from the defeat (although they've yet to won the UCL till now) and winning the domestic double last year with display of attractive football are the pinnacle of joy from supporting them.

Heroes: definitely ftorres, who costs 50 mil and yet to score till now John Terry and Frank Lampard. Both had overcome their hard time / distraction off the pitch and yet still showing consistency during the game.

Barcelona.

Reason: Do I really need a reason? Watch one of their matches and I dare you to not be mesmerized by their gorgeous passing football. Plus Messi, Villa and Pedro are the greatest attacking trident in the world right now. Nuff said.

Heroes: As far as football is concerned...David Villa and Messi. Both are great, humble players, I admire that part about them.

CLUB : LIVERPOOL FC , ENGLAND

WHY : I HAVE SEEN LIVERPOOL since I WAS 8 YEAR OLD AND I LOVE LIVERPOOL's FOOTBALL STYLE.IT MAKE ME FEEL GOOD WHEN I SAW LIVERPOOL PLAY.

HEROES : STEVEN GERRARD.HE IS HEART OF TEAM.HE IS OUR CAPTAIN.

Club: Arsenal FC (England), the only club in London that matters, not those posers 1km away from Emirates or those from the falling Bridge in the west.

Having seen through their first double back in '98 till now, their philosophy of football is something that got me into being a gunner. The guile and craft of Bergkamp, Overmars, Wright with the tough Vieria & Petit at the middle of the park got me attracted. Then the era of Henry, Pires, Ljungberg came along. Boy that brought the football to a even higher levels, never will I thought that I am supporting a club in the top flight that wins a league unbeaten throughout the season!

Sadly, after the invincibles victory, we are still awaiting the first title/silverware but hopefully, we can put an end to this next Sunday with the Carling Cup.

But despite going through years of bare runs, but I am so glad to see the wonderful football that Arsenal had cooked up. The tiny little passes around the pitch, intelligent movements, yes, that IS football. I am proud of this playing style.

Heck, even my bro was a former devil and got converted into a north London faithful.



Hero: Dennis Bergkamp. He is simply a gem of a attacking player and main reason why I like to have the no.10 shirt.

well...I started being their suporter since 1998...when was a kid...and I forgot why I started love them...
but for now I can make YUH sure my blood's colors are blue and black...gurarararara!!!even I cried when they won the treble last year...it's like a dream I can feel how my team that I support since more than 10 years ago won it... .toj.
well..this season is terrible at first...but then I'm glad with Leonardo because he can fix it...FORZA I NERAZZURRI!!!

Hero : well...Javier Zanetti of course...the best player player with great loyalty...and..mmmm..Diego Milito...this season is so hard for him...but we can't forget last season..when he scores in all final matches...maybe there's no treble for Inter without him...

Club: Real Madrid F.C

Well, to be honest, I did not have any particular interests in any football clubs because I support players that I like, and as we all know, players move on, and in my case, I support Ronaldo (the legendary one). He's been sensational to the clubs he's been, and I loved his times at Barca and Inter, also in his national team.

But, with his recent retirement from the sport, I've been eyeing on some players such as Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria. I ADORE left-footed players, (Ryan Giggs anyone) because well, let's admit it. They're awesome! Casillas, their keeper also is a left-footed player, so that's a plus.
Cristiano Ronaldo? Meh, I have a mixed feelings about him. Sure, goals, assists. But, overall value? Hmm, I prefer Kaka' over him though.

And, that's basically the summary of my fav.soccer club. If we're talking about English clubs, I have to go for Man.Utd, simply because of Giggs and Scholes. Legendary players: Quality. xD

Club: Leeds United Football Club
Why? It's an English thing, you inherit your dad's football team. Most people do anyway. That and, come on, Leeds are brilliant. Not kept up with them in a while, but back before they got relegated they were at the peak of English football. Greatest football club in the world, with the most passionate fans in the world. I've heard of no other club where the fans can out-cheer their opposition when they're outnumbered 5 to 1.

Favourite Club: Manchester United, England

Heroes: David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo

Why: When I was young I used to watch football with my dad on tv and one day we watched a game where Manchester United are playing a home game (can't remember who they were playing against) but I just fell in love with the team spirit, their T-shirt designs and even their stadium nickname - Theatre of Dreams. I remember some players from the past like Ruud Van Nisterroy, Eric Cantona, Dwight Yorke and even players like Teddy Sheringham, David Beckham and Andy Cole who I enjoyed watching them play. TBH Man Utd are some of the few clubs in the world who have produced best players in the world like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although the latter 2 have left Anfield they still showed class, as they left, Ryan left messages for fans on twitter thanking them for their years of support, Xabi still sends well wishes to fans, managers and players of the club.
How I began to support the most successful club in the UK? Well.... honestly, its kinda fuzzy since I've been a supporter for at least 10 years. For me special nights in the red jersey were nights of great football, the night in Istanbul, the 4-1 disposal of Manchester United, etc etc etc. I don the red jersey with pride and respect. The fans at Anfield also give you a special feeling, players have entered the stadium, and have walked out with memorable moments. The chills, the unity, the power of the fans is the uniqueness of the club, allies and opponents alike have looked back at the matches and remember the emotions while playing. "You'll Never Walk Alone" is a part of the LFC culture and can be heard every home game ringing loud and clear amongst the Anfield faithful. I have sung the song with fellow kopites as well when Liverpool came to Singapore a couple of years ago, the feeling is not the same as the one at Anfield. I look forward to the day i can go to Anfield and watch a live match and join in the singing of the anthems.
Looking back, 10 years ago i chose Liverpool as the club for me and do I regret my choice? No. have I been tempted to switch clubs? Yes. Have i even thought about it? No. Cut me open and you'll see a Liverbird.

Reason:Well actually i'm still quite young as a football fan,i mean for a serious fan.I loosely watched football when i was young,bout 10-12,then i stopped.I got back on on football when i was 14 because many of my new friends in secondary school were playing football and invited me to join in.I started to watch the EPL (the current Barclays Premier League for those who dunno,it used to be called English Premier League) and Manchester United stuck out for me,because the football was really attractive and they looked like the world's most glorious club to me,and not without reason too. So since then i've been a Red Devil,and have never looked back.

Oh,it might interest some of you to know that i almost been an Anfield faithful in primary school,but then i lost interest in football and later became a Red Devil instead LOL.

What can i possibly say?One-club man,record breaker,fantastic dribbler,vicious crosses,passes like throwing knives,finishes properly when the time comes,and just a great player overall.

Why : I have been watching football since the world cup 2002, but I didn't regularly watch it.
I knew Arsenal since the 2003/2004 unbeatable season, and I started to like them since that time.
I like Arsene Wenger's team style of play. Short passing, and beautiful football. I love beautiful football. And I like Wenger's youth policy, developing youth player into a top class player. I just hope he wouldn't sell the players too fast, like he did these years.
Hero : Arsene Wenger, the coach who changes everything in arsenal; Cesc Fabregas, the superb playmaker; Thierry Henry, he is unstoppable when he is fit; Dennis Bergkamp, has a brilliant technique, unluckily, I only saw him nearing his end of career..

MANCHESTER UNITEDDDDDDDDD

Reason: My entire extended family are all Red Devils. And back in the days when EPL was shown on Channel 5, I was instantly attracted by the way they play, with Eric Cantona and Ryan Giggs doing incredible stuff with the ball.

Fav players (all-time): Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Peter Schmeichel, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Cristiano Ronaldo (when he wasn't the ego-seeking git he is now), Rio Ferdinand.

Best goal? 2 of them actually. Teddy Sheringham and Solskjaer's epic goals in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich. I went absolutely crazy when they won it at the death.

note: you ain't a true Red Devil unless you can spell Solskjaer's name properly
