I use Memrise to learn languages, it's mostly for vocab but I learnt how to read Hirigana on Memrise and in my opinion it's simple to use

Yes but that more advanced learning already To really learn you need to learn the basic stuff and some vocabulary, suddenly talking to japanese won't help you there ^^
Once you learned that then of course it helps and is a very good way to learn more and better.
