Excluding all the household favorites (Shunkan, Doll, Space Ranger, etc.)
Shining Sun
The way they pronounced "I'll Just Go" in the beginning sounded like the common expression "Ay! Diyos ko" in Filipino which means "Oh! My God." LOL! And it was catchy and very dancable (not that I dance or anything).
Midnight Television
Got obsessed with the way the drums we're engineered, first time I heard a drums with delay effects on it. The harmonies in the instruments worked pretty well for the whole song. The robotic voices were a good addition. And the music was just very uplifting if you will.
Beauteen
Not a fan of Pocari Sweat, but the arrangement on this one was awesome. Specially the way the second verse comes in and it changes the mood to some reggae/ska feel to it. The way the melody went in the chorus with all the vocal harmonies was just lovely. The lyrics went very well with the music.
Daydream
They did more than doing justice in this cover song. The added guitar riff gave it a different dimension to it, in other words, it made the song sick. And it strongly reminds me of the chorus from FOB's Arms Race for some reason - maybe the tempo and the progression. I also dig the way the song was engineered, the whole sound was very weighty.
Koshi Tan-Tan
The Animax Musix version was good, the album version was a step from becoming better than the live version. I liked the way the way the song was opened, clean guitars, room mic-ed drums, then in comes the full band in high gain in the mix. It was just one rocking song all in all.
yeah
