I dunno if there is already a thread about this, I tried searching but I couldn't find anything so..
My favorite movie that is ranked #1 on my list at this point, is a Japanese movie called Linda Linda Linda. I love the movie soooooo much. It makes me love life.
Its basically about high school girls performing in a band for their school festival.
Made in 2006 it stars Yu Kashii, Aki Maeda,(Battle Royale)love her) Shiori Sekine and Doona Bae(Korean) (Sympathy For Mr Vengence.)
Beautifully directed its seems to slice a real story out of a random high school festival in Japan. Its about the many trivial, yet at the time very important things in teenage life. Its about who we are as we grow up and friendship.
I believe the opening scene lays out the foundation of what the movie wants to say.
It will introduce you to the songs of the Japanese 80's punk pop band 'The Blue Hearts'
In one of the episodes of the anime 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' there is a reference and/or/ it pays homage to the last scene of this movie.
Its funny, its real, its sweet, charming and inspiring.
Soon after I watched it I discovered Scandal.
So if you guys haven't seen it.
Please Please Please watch
